paper of my copy:
The standard edition of the Book of Common Prayer was
printed by D. B. UPDIKE at the Merrymount Press, Boston,
Massachusetts, A.D. MDCCCCXXXVIII. This facsimile, twocolor
edition of the Standard Copy of the Book of Common
Prayer has been made possible by the generosity of JAMES R.
PAGE and the Episcopal Church Foundation, with the
cooperation of the Trustees of the Pierpont Morgan Library;
WALTER M. WHITEHILL, Director, Athenaeum, Boston; and
the Reverend JOHN W. SUTER, Custodian, Standard Book of
Common Prayer. This facsimile edition was printed by the
Meriden Gravure Company, Meriden, Connecticut, A.D.
MDCCCCLII. The Binding was designed by STEFAN SALTER.
This edition was bound by the Russell-Rutter Company, New
York.
This book thus is identical to the original Standard Edition with
the exceptions that the updated 1945 lectionary replaces the
original, and it is in a smaller format (pages 8.5" x 5.5", rather
than 13.5" x 9.25")
