The 5th Sunday after Trinity
righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and not afraid of the.ir
terror, neither be troubled; but sanctify the Lord God ill
your hearts.
The Gospel. St. Luke v. I.
IT came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to
hear the word of God, he stood by dle lake of Gennesaret
and saw two ships standing by the lake: but the
fisherm'en were gone out of them, and were washing their
nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was
Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little
from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people
out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said
unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your
nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him,
Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:
nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when
they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of
fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their
partners, which were in the other ship, that they should
come and help them. And they came, and filled bodl the
ships, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw
it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart me;
for I am a sinful man, 0 Lord. For he was astollished, and
all that were with him, at the draught of dle fishes which
they had taken: and so was also James, and John, dle sons
of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus
said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt
catch men. And when they had brought dleir ships to land,
they forsook all, and followed him.

The Sixth Sunday after Trinity.
The Collect.
GOD, who hast prepared for those who love thee
O such good things as pass man's understanding; Pour
into our hearts such love toward thee, that we, loving thee
above all things, may obtain thy promises, which exceed all
that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Epistle. Romans vi. 3.
KNOW ye not, that so many of us as were baptized
into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore
we are buried with him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of
the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of
his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
knowing this, that our old man \s crucified with him,
that the body of sin might be destrqyed, that henceforth
we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from
sin. Now if we be dead widl Christ, we believe that we
shall also live widl him: knowing that Christ being raised
from the dead dieth no more; deadl hath no more dominion
over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once:
but in that he livedl, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon
ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive
unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
