heavens declare the glory of God; • and
showeth his handy-work.
36. Thou hast given me the defence of thy salvation; •
thy nght hand also shall hold me up, and thy loving correction
shall make me great.
3 7 Thou shalt make room enough under me for to go, •
that my footsteps shall not slide.
3 8 I will follow upon mine enemies, and overtake
them; • neither will I turn again till I have destroyed them.
39 I will smite them, that they shall not be able to stand, •
but fall under my feet.
40 Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle; •
thou shalt throw down mine enemies under me.
4' Thou hast made mine enemies also to turn their
backs upon me, • and I shall destroy them that hate me.
42 They shall cry, but there shall be none to help them; •
yea, even unto the LORD shall they cry, but he shall not
hear them.
43 I will beat them as small as the dust before the
wind: • I will cast them out as the clay in the streets.
44 Thou shalt deliver me from the strivings of the
people, • and thou shalt make me the head of the nations;
a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
4S As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me; • the
strangers shall feign obedience unto me.
46 The strangers shall fail, • and come trembling out of
their strongholds.
47 L ORD liveth; and blessed my strong helper, •
and praIsed be the God of my salvatIOn;
48 Even the God that seeth that I be avenged, • and subdueth
the people unto me.
2 One day telleth another; • and one night certifieth another.
3 There is neither speech nor language;' but their
voices are heard among them.
4 Their sound is gone out into all lands;' and their
words into the ends of the world.
S In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun;' which
cometh forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber, and rej
oiceth as a giant to run his course.
6 It goeth forth from the uttermost part of the heaven,
and runneth about unto the end of it again; • and there is
nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the LORD is an undefiled law, converting
the soul; ' the testimony of the LORD is sure, and giveth
wisdom unto the simple.
8 The starutes of the LORD are right, and rejoice the
heart; • the commandment of the LORD is pure, and giveth
light unto the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, and endureth for ever; •
