COURSE TITLE
Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
DESCRIPTION
LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Understand how businesses achieve strategic
competitive advantage through effective supply
chain management.
2. Learn the fundamentals of supplier
management, including supplier selection and
evaluation and quality and cost management.
3. Understand the core processes for service and
manufacturing operations, purchasing, capacity
planning, and logistics.
Very few businesses have the capability to do everything
themselves, and almost all businesses rely on suppliers,
contractors, service providers and other external partners to
deliver products and services to their customers. Businesses
that optimize their supply chains and effectively manage their
suppliers as an extension of their internal operations gain
a competitive advantage that enables them to serve their
customers and maintain profitability.

2009-2011. Tim also held positions at Eastman Kodak Co. and Advanced Energy
