NTP is delighted to announce that, after over two-years<br />

development, the Roadside and <strong>Recovery</strong> Technicians<br />

Course has been accredited under the new Institute of<br />

the Motor Industry Accredited Scheme<br />

NEWSDESK<br />

This training course, only the third in the country to be<br />

approved by the world-renowned Institute, is aimed at<br />

anyone required to work by the roadside from breakdown<br />

and recovery technicians, drivers and fitters to tyre-fitters and<br />

fuel-drain technicians.<br />

The training has been independently quality assured by the<br />

IMI and an External Quality Assessor (EQA) to meet the National<br />

Occupational Standards for Roadside and <strong>Recovery</strong> and PA3 43<br />

and contains all relevant information as per the SURVIVE Guide.<br />

This three-day course includes the Validated Recognition<br />

Modules 1, 2 and 3 and the RoadSAFE Module (vehicle checks,<br />

loading, security and banksman training) and can include 21-hours<br />

DCPC.<br />

The course has been signed off at Level 3 by the IMI and on<br />

successful completion of all three modules, the delegate will be<br />

deemed as a Roadside and <strong>Recovery</strong> Technician enabling them to<br />

join the IMI as an Associate Member and display letters after their<br />

name (AMIMI).<br />

In addition to becoming a member of the IMI they will be<br />

entered onto their <strong>Professional</strong> Register, have access to fiveonline<br />

EV Modules (30-hours CPD), receive five-online editions of<br />

MotorPro and obtain all of the benefits of joining the automotive<br />

industries largest and well-respected Institute.<br />

Each delegate is also given an individual digital PATAM card<br />

where this, and any other vocational training they have received<br />

throughout their career, will be recorded and can be presented<br />

to any organisation or gatekeeper to prove their identity, training<br />

and credentials at the touch of an App.<br />

To deliver this training course, all instructors must have<br />

attended the L3 in Education and Training and NTP Consortium<br />

course. This training meets the IMI’s stringent Assessors<br />

Qualification as per Ofqual regulations for registered trainers.<br />
