Portrait One<br />
Kang Khem, age 21 in 1977, was born into a middle class<br />
family in Prek Tamem village, Prek Sdei commune, District 18.<br />
His fa<strong>the</strong>r’s name was Kang Srei and his mo<strong>the</strong>r’s was Tep Nim.<br />
He had eight siblings. Kang Khem joined <strong>the</strong> revolution on May<br />
04, 1973. He was transferred to work as a combatant in S-21 in<br />
June 1975. (Present status unknown)<br />
Portrait Two<br />
Kuy Kol, age 26 in 1977, was a student from <strong>the</strong> bourgeois<br />
class. He was born in Samrong Ke village, Samrong Thom<br />
commune, District 16, Region 25. Kuy Kol’s fa<strong>the</strong>r’s name was<br />
Kuy Mut and his mo<strong>the</strong>r’s<br />
was Lang Pok. He had three siblings, a bro<strong>the</strong>r and two sisters. 2<br />
He joined <strong>the</strong> revolution as a combatant on August 27, 1973 in<br />
Prek Tahang village, Kampong Kong commune, District 20.<br />
Kuy Kol began working at S-21 prison in June 1975. (Present<br />
status unknown)<br />

Kit Tay, age 20 in<br />
1977, was born into a<br />
lower-middle class family<br />
in Kampot Pul village,<br />
Prek Ampil commune,<br />
District 20, Region 25.<br />
His fa<strong>the</strong>r’s name was Kit Tom and his mo<strong>the</strong>r’s name was Bou<br />
Heng (42 years old). Kit Toy had four siblings: two bro<strong>the</strong>rs and<br />
two sisters. He joined <strong>the</strong> revolution as a messenger combatant<br />
on March 13, 1973. After training <strong>for</strong> six months, Kit Toy was<br />
transferred to Unit 143 and <strong>the</strong>n to Regiment 267, where he again<br />
worked as a messenger combatant. He became a medical combatant<br />
