You will need to start at Level 2 if you
have four GCSEs at grades 9 - 3, including
English or maths at grade 3. You can also
apply with a Merit from a Level 1 full time
vocational course or some Year 11 BTECs.
You will be able
to progress into:
• Level 3 course
• Apprenticeship

VOC
You can start at Level 3 if you have four
GCSE grades 9 - 4. These must include
English or Maths at grade 4 or above, or
Merit in BTEC L2 Extended Certificate.

A LEVEL
You will need to have GCSEs with an
average of at least grade 4 to study A
Levels. All A Level programmes require
a minimum of GCSE Maths at 4 or and
GCSE English at 5. Certain subjects
require an average of grade 5 or 6.
You will be able
to progress into:
• University
• Apprenticeship
• Skilled
employment

VOC / A LEVEL
MIX
You will need GCSEs with an average of
grade 4. This must include GCSE English
and Maths at 4 or above.
The APS is an Average Point Score that we work out using your GCSE
grades. The entry criteria listed should be used as a guide and may
change prior to enrolment. Entry requirements may vary for certain
subjects and these will be discussed with you in your interview.
