DESCRIPTION
In addition to the
entry requirements
for A Levels on
page 15, you will
need a 5 at French
GCSE or for Spanish
to be a home
language.
Spanish is one of the core
languages of world business and
governments and is the official
language of countries across several
continents. You will develop your
oral skills [speaking and listening]
through conversations and
presentations, and develop your
ability to write and read Spanish
to a more sophisticated level.
You will study a novel and a film
and consider the socio/cultural
background to the stories and their
impact as well as the construction
and ideas in the texts themselves.
COMBINES WELL WITH
English Literature/Language,
Geography, Politics, History, French,
Journalism, Religious Studies and
Sociology.
ASSESSMENT
This course will be assessed through
written exams and an oral exam.

Spanish can be studied at degree
level on its own or part of a
combination course e.g. Marketing
and Spanish, English and Spanish,
etc.
