Technical Diploma
3 GCSE grades 9 - 3
including Science
and 3, and either
English or maths at
grade 3.
This course prepares students who
wish to pursue a career in science.
Successful completion of this course
at Merit Level would enable you to
move to a Level 3 Extended Diploma
in Science. It will combine some
elements of biology, chemistry and
psychology, providing you insight
into deciding which part of science
you are most interested in.

COMBINES WELL WITH
English or Maths GCSE.
ASSESSMENT
This course will be assessed through
assignments.
PROGRESSION
ACADEMIC PROGRESSION
Successfully completing this course
will allow you to progress onto BTEC
Science Level 3.
The programme is designed to
enable you to gain understanding
of various units some of which are
similar to BTEC Level 3 Science
which means you will be prepared
to progress onto a Level 3 Science
course.
