A Level
Mathematics
In addition to the
entry requirements
listed on page 15
for A Levels, you
will ideally have a
7 (but at least a 6)
in Maths. Students
who achieve a 6 in
Maths may need
to sit an additional
test at enrolment.
COMBINES WELL WITH
Economics, Business Studies,
Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History
and Politics.
ASSESSMENT
This course will be assessed through
external examinations at the end of
the second year.
PROGRESSION
ACADEMIC PROGRESSION
Progress into degree level studies
in a broad range of areas including
sciences, geography, economics,
business studies and engineering.
On this course, you will acquire
the skills required to study and
analyse data collected from events
and create hypothetical situations.
Mathematics forms a compatible
combination with many other
subjects and is very popular with
employers. You also have the
opportunity to study A level Further
Mathematics if you meet the entry
requirements.
