Although Stacy Fan was born in England, she spent the first 6 years of her life in Hong Kong. Then she moved back to<br />

London where she committed herself to working hard at her studies to earn herself both a B.A. and M.A. in Theatre from<br />

The University of Kent Canterbury. As well as living in the UK, Stacy has gleaned a very cosmopolitan outlook on life by<br />

having also lived in Beijing, Taipei and Hong Kong. She is the founder of fashion magazine Eurasian Vogue, where her<br />

editorial role gives her the opportunity to interview emerging designers as well as covering all things associated with<br />

beauty, well-being and lifestyle. As contributing editor of Harper’s Bazaar, China, Stacy also produces editorial content for<br />

her online readership in mainland China. As well as being highly respected in the world of media, Stacy is also a committed<br />

foodie. So, when the opportunity to join an online series called Family Style that blends the Asian culture and food—she<br />

jumped on board the project immediately. Family Style features a group of friends and celebrity guests exploring popular<br />

Asian food restaurants and cultural venues.<br />

Daniel Wong, Goldwell HK Artistic Team member gives his advice on Stacy’s colour and style. He<br />

suggests that Stacy should just try adding just a few narrow blonde highlights onto the caramel<br />

ashy brown tone that suits her so well. By doing this she would make her hair look even more<br />

super-fresh and bang up-to-date. As regards the styling, a choppy bob haircut with undulating,<br />

bendy waves would look great on her. Stacy could also add some volume and texture at the top of<br />

her hair and make the whole overall look softer and more fashionable.<br />

Awards showcase and reward the best in salon interior<br />

design. Here are the Gold & Silver medallists for <strong>2020</strong>. Gary Kelly<br />

Salon ROSSO Zushi-Ginza - Gold Medal<br />

Med "ROSSO Zushi-Ginza" (Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan) which was selected for the Design Award Gold Medal in<br />

the Salon category, is the group’s third shop and was opened as a flagship store. From the concept of ‘Organic x Science",<br />

the motif of the entire space is the image of "lab", and the flow line to provide services to customers is created based on the<br />

large table in the centre. In addition, by preparing a table for each customer, the salon provides a personalised zone in a<br />

simple space. The overall objective was to create a hair salon that is rooted in the community by adding displays and design<br />

elements that depict the horizon and sandy beaches of Zushi Beach. The judges noted the natural and conceptual design,<br />

the details of the façade, and the fact that the entire salon was designed with the movement of people in mind.<br />

Salon ZETCH - Silver Medal<br />

The objective behind the redesign of this sumptuous barbershop was the re-alloction of space. The owner felt there were<br />

too many seats, which made the overall aspect of the salon look cluttered and cramped. Therefore, by applying the concept<br />

of 'less is more', plenty of open, free space was created resulting in this stunningly inviting, relaxing interior. By setting up a<br />

courtyard within the barbershop, the result is to effect a control on the line-of-sight drawing you through from the exterior<br />

to the interior. This almost seems to bring the beauty of nature and its greenery into this luxurious and comfortable space.<br />

Elumenation is Goldwell’s first-of-akind<br />

portfolio of direct dye-based<br />

products, which take hair colour to<br />

a whole new level. An entirely new<br />

category of Color Technology that<br />

started with a question posed by<br />

Goldwell’s Research & Development<br />

scientists: how to make direct dyes<br />

better?<br />

To fully grasp the uniqueness of<br />

Goldwell’s mastery of direct dyes, we<br />

need to look back to 20 years ago.<br />

Direct dyes do not penetrate deeply<br />

into the hair, which means that they<br />

wash out easily. This was the starting<br />

point of “Project Super Color”.<br />

Starting with the launch of Elumen<br />

in 2001, Goldwell’s mastery of direct<br />

dyes became evident when they<br />

created a direct dye that could last<br />
