SF 3000<br />
<strong>Motor</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Trailer</strong> <strong>Bogies</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Heavy</strong> Rail <strong>Metro</strong> <strong>Vehicles</strong><br />
The SF 3000 motor <strong>and</strong> trailer bogies are<br />
designed <strong>for</strong> use on heavy weight metro<br />
vehicles with maximum speeds of<br />
80 km/h <strong>and</strong> a maximum axle<br />
load of 17 t.<br />
This bogie family is of modular design<br />
causing to a reduction in the number of<br />
different components required <strong>and</strong> thus<br />
resulting in rationalisation of<br />
manufacture.<br />
The wheelbase of 2300 mm enables the<br />
bogies to be track friendly <strong>and</strong><br />
particularly suitable <strong>for</strong> negotiating<br />
small radii of curvature.<br />
The primary suspension system is<br />
equipped with pairs of conical rubber<br />
springs, ensuring good self damping<br />
characteristics <strong>and</strong> longitudinal <strong>and</strong><br />
lateral flexible axle guidance.<br />
The secondary suspension system<br />
features air springs <strong>and</strong> offers optimum<br />
ride quality as well as the possibility of<br />
level adjustment in the secondary<br />
suspension.<br />
The secondary longitudinal guidance is<br />
achieved by low connected guides<br />
(traction rod). This arrangement ensures<br />
low wheel load reduction.<br />
Wheel disc brakes are provided as<br />
mechanical brake. The installation of<br />
magnetic rail brakes is also provided<br />
(option).<br />
By use of proven design components<br />
(further development of the bogie<br />
SF2000) we have developed an efficient<br />
bogie family of the highest reliability<br />
with perfect maintainability, high<br />
flexibility <strong>and</strong> excellent running<br />
behaviour.<br />
