Chris Lynch;
People’s Choice
Chris Lynch’s on air
brain explosion calling
the People’s Choice
representatives on the
Linwood-Central-
Heathcote Community
Board a “bunch of
bastards” should be
dismissed as the rantings
of a yet another lunatic
disaffected Nat.
Sadly, The Star,
November 12, , which has
responded to Lynch adds
nothing to the story.
Lynch’s claim that: “I am
not biased, I just tell it how
it is” must sit alongside
“common sense” and “not
suffering fools easily” as
the preferred moronic
clichés of the arrogant yet
intellectually lazy right
wing.
By resorting to: “I
just tell it how it is” as a
defence, Lynch exposes
himself as being incapable
of, or unwilling to engage
in independent critical
thought as the People’s
Choice councillors he
accuses of group-think. –
Linwood
I am a retired
community board member
and long-time opponent of
party politics in local civic
governance.
Chris Lynch’s
comment highlights
again the negatives of the
Labour Party machine’s
intrusion into local body
Chris Lynch
Christchurch politics.
I did note the Wellington
address authorisation on
local candidate hoardings
during the last council
elections. Centralisation
and party political block
voting is now a very
large influencer of local
decisions.
Cr McLellan’s comment
he has no time for Lynch
because he is supportive
of two other colleagues is
indicative of the problem.
As in America, political
tribalism has led to the
disrespectful dismissal of
those you disagree with
because of association. We
have seen block voting on
several significant council
issues negating the input
or opinion of Independents
on council.
Recent cross-overs
of parliamentary MPs
into local body politics,
prompted me last year
to write to local Labour
MPs seeking assurances
of no undue influence
or financial subsidising
LETTERS 39
following clearly
documented incidences in
the past.
The arm-twisting
now afoot to change the
leadership of a local board
via party “numbers”
is counter-intuitive to
“community board.” The
ward name “Central”
perhaps exemplifies the
conflict with central-ised
powers elsewhere (ie
Parliament in Wellington),
The by-election Labour
candidate, who defeated
six competing Independent
candidates, including
myself, because we split
our votes, has no right to
a say over changing an
existing chairman, who
was rightly elected over a
year ago from an existing
board. That is just cynical
vote-packing. – John
Fireworks
I would definitely like
to see fireworks banned –
altogether preferably, but
at least sales to the general
public.
For all the usual
reasons – animal welfare,
fires caused both to
properties and homes
and wild fires.
It’s difficult to sleep
properly for days on end
and sometimes weeks,
both before and after Guy
Fawkes night, as well as
any other time people
have saved them for other
occasions only relevant
to themselves. – Tessa
FOCUS ON HEALTH
Amazing health miracles
from the silkworm
Serrapeptase an enzyme produced in
silkworms may become one of the most
widely used natural health solutions
for its ability to replace the majority
of anti-inflammatory drugs and bypass
operations. It is nature’s answer to
pain, chronic inflammation and clogged
arteries. Enzymes are essential for
life. Constantly working to build and
regenerate the body, they help digest
food, break down toxins and cleanse
the blood, in addition to thousands of
other functions. A lack of enzymes in
the body leads to food intolerances,
allergies, digestive issues, disease and
poor health. Studies show an average
70-year old has only 20 percent of the
enzymes found in the body of a 20-year
old.
Serrapeptase is a natural antiinflammatory,
which can clean, clear and
reduce inflammation while dissolving
non-living tissue including blood clots,
cysts, arterial plaque and mucus. One of
its major benefits is its ability to reduce
pain.
The serrapeptase enzyme was first
found in the intestine of the silkworm
in the late 1960’s. The silkworm uses it
to dissolve the hard cocoon, allowing
the moth to escape as well as to digest
the tough mulberry leaves it feeds on.
Serrapeptase can now be produced
commercially by a fermentation process
of the microorganism Serriata E15. It is
prescribed by doctors across Europe and
Asia.
Benefits from
the silkworm
Thursday November 19 2020 The Star
Clinical studies over the last 40
years have shown serrapeptase to have
remarkable benefits in a vast range of
health conditions including; blocked
arteries, cardiovascular, arthritis,
asthma, lung conditions, pain, tumors,
autoimmune disease and many more.
In Germany, Dr. Hans Nieper clinically
researched serrapeptase and found it
could clear blocked arteries and prevent
the need for bypass operations. U.K.
pharmacist Dennis Gore talked on BBC
radio about the dramatic results he has
had with serrapeptase. One case was a
man in his 60’s who had been a heavy
smoker, was wheeled into his pharmacy.
He was breathless due to emphysema
and COPD and could hardly talk. He
was on antibiotics, oxygen and getting
bad infections. Dennis prescribed him
serrapeptase and three weeks later the
man walked into his pharmacy, with
no wheelchair and no breathlessness
and said to Dennis he was no longer on
antibiotics, nor oxygen cylinders and
was feeling great.
Serrapeptase has been shown to be
very safe supplement and according
to researchers can be used with most
medications. However let your doctor
know as medications may need reducing
or stopping as the need for them reduces.
