CAIN
Jimmy Lee Cain, born on Jan. 19, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, went
to be home with the Lord on Nov. 23, 2020. at 12:39 a.m. at Riverside
Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Survivors include: his
wife of 37 years, Gaynell Cain; children, Jamie (Mike) Weisman of
London, Jody (David) Miller of London, Christine (Curtis) Moore of
Chillicothe, Mo., and David (Trina) Palmer of London; grandchildren,
Whiteny, Derek, Paige, Bishop, Brooklyn, Shyanne, Keaton,
Avery and Elias; many great-grandkids; brothers and sister, George
(Vicki) Cain of London, Kenny (Sunshine) Cain of Florida, and Marcia
“Candy” (Harold) Trimble of Delbarton, W.Va.; many nieces and
nephews; and his longtime best friend, Leonard Johnson. He was
preceded in death by: his dad, mom, two brothers, a sister, and

many aunts and uncles. He was a faithful member of
First Church of the Open Bible in Springfield, where he
served as a church trustee. Jimmy loved hunting, fishing,
camping, and his family, especially his grandkids
and great-grandkids. For 25 years, he worked for Sims
Construction before working and retiring from the
Madison County Engineer’s Office after 20 years. Funeral
services were held on Nov. 27 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral
Home and Crematory, London, with Pastor James
Ballard officiating. Interment followed in Kirkwood
Cemetery, London. The family suggests memorials in
Jimmy’s name be made to the American Heart Association

GORMAN
Richard W. “Rick” Gorman, 65, of South Solon died
on Dec. 7, 2020, in Columbus. Born on April 8, 1955, in
Columbus, he was a son of Roger and Jean (Rhanor)
Gorman. A graduate of Madison-Plains High School,
Rick had been a union electrician, belonging to and
serving as past president of IBEW Local 636, Columbus.
A faithful member of Grape Grove Church of Christ, he
had served as pianist and deacon of the church. Survivors
include: his son, Zachariah Gorman; daughter,
Katelind Gorman; brother, John Gorman; niece and
nephew, Chelsea Gorman and Tucker Gorman; aunt,
Ruth Gorman; and several cousins. He was preceded in
death by his father, mother, and several aunts and uncles,
including Homer Gorman. Funeral services were
held on Dec. 12 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and
Crematory, London, with Pastor William Lott officiating.
Interment followed in Grape Grove Cemetery. Visit

PETEE
Adam Petee, 42, of London died on Dec. 9, 2020, in
Madison Health. Born on April 17, 1978, in London, he
was a son of Sherry (Collins) and Tommy Petee. Adam
was a union electrician with the IBEW Local 683 and
loved hunting, fishing, building things and babysitting
his niece and nephew. Survivors include: his sons, Cody
Petee and Gavin Petee; mother and stepfather, Sherry
and Steve Kellum; brother, Sam (Jennifer) Petee; sister,
Kathy (Garrett) Fellure; nieces, Katlyn and Alyson;
nephews, Jaxson and Jacob; aunt, Donna (Danny)
Fisher, uncles, Ronnie (Natalie) Collins and Robert
(Debbie) Petee; many cousins, including special cousin,
Jason Hahn. He was preceded in death by: his dad,
Tommy; grandparents, Sam and JoAnn Collins and
Robert and Dolores Guthrie; aunts and uncles, Terry
and Gary Coil, Sharon Travis, Danny Collins, Greg
Collins, David Petee and Dianna Sanders and Cousin
Robbie Petee. Private services were held at the convenience
of the family. Memorials in Adam’s name may be
made to the funeral home for the benevolence of the

HOPPER
Hazel E. Hopper, 89, passed away on Dec. 10, 2020.
She was born to the late Donnie and Mae (Jackson) Osborne
on April 22, 1931. She was a member of Church
of Christ in Hilliard, Ohio. Hazel was preceded in death
by: her husband, Harold Hopper; daughter, Elaine
Hansen; brother, Forrest Wheeler; and sister, Leah
Phillips. Hazel is survived by; her children, Yolanda
Williams, Sherry Hopper, and son-in-law Bill Hansen;
sister, Geraldine Blanton; grandchildren, Michele
(Gary) Powers, Kelly (Darren) Minton, Michael
Williams, Nikki (Bill) Raver, Heather (Dan) McLaughlin,
TyLea and Shelby Hopper; numerous great-grandchildren
and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom
will miss her greatly. A private family graveside service
was held on Dec. 15. Services were handled by Rader-
McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson.
HALL
Charlie E. Hall, 86, of London died on Dec. 13, 2020,
in his residence. Born on Nov. 2, 1934, in Wheelwright,
Ky., he was a son of Ermine and Dinah (Osborne) Hall.
Charlie was an electrician with IBEW Local 683 and
worked at Anheuser Busch in Columbus. A U.S. Air
Force veteran,, he was also a, active member of the
Madison County Senior Center. Survivors include: his
wife of 57 years, Ellie (Damron) Hall; son and daughter-in-law,
Charles E. and Wendy Hall III; grandchildren,
Helena Hall and Charles E. Hall IV; brother,
James Lewis (Shirley) Hall; sisters, Mary Rose Bailey
and Nancy Sue (James Henry II) Duncan; nieces and
nephews, James Henry Duncan III, Jeffrey Lewis Hall,
Dinah Frances Cicenas and Pamela Sue Duncan. He
was preceded in death by: his mother and father; son,
Michael; sister, Wauketa; and niece, Mary Rose “Rosie.”
A graveside service was held on Dec. 18 in Deercreek
Township Cemetery, London. The family suggests memorials
in Charlie’s name be made to: St. Paul
Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Ave., Columbus, OH

HASTINGS
Robert Hastings, 71, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed
away on Dec. 13, 2020. He enjoyed spending time with
his family, mechanical work, playing poker, and listening
to all kinds of music. He retired after working 35
years at Fisher Cast Steel Products Inc. Robert was preceded
in death by: his parents, Robert and Mary Hastings;
son, Kevin Hastings; brothers, John and Rick
Hastings. He is survived by: his loving wife, Ada Hastings;
children, Tammy Darlington and Diana Hastings;
brothers, Kenny and Larry Hastings; grandchildren,
Misty, Ashley, Cody, Holly, Shelby, and Gage; and 11
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Dec.
16 at Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson.
Burial took place at Hampton Cemetery, West
Jefferson. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing
was observed, and guests were required to wear
facial coverings in the funeral home.
