CAIN<br />

Jimmy Lee Cain, born on Jan. 19, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, went<br />

to be home with the Lord on Nov. 23, <strong>2020</strong>. at 12:39 a.m. at Riverside<br />

Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Survivors include: his<br />

wife of 37 years, Gaynell Cain; children, Jamie (Mike) Weisman of<br />

London, Jody (David) Miller of London, Christine (Curtis) Moore of<br />

Chillicothe, Mo., and David (Trina) Palmer of London; grandchildren,<br />

Whiteny, Derek, Paige, Bishop, Brooklyn, Shyanne, Keaton,<br />

Avery and Elias; many great-grandkids; brothers and sister, George<br />

(Vicki) Cain of London, Kenny (Sunshine) Cain of Florida, and Marcia<br />

“Candy” (Harold) Trimble of Delbarton, W.Va.; many nieces and<br />

nephews; and his longtime best friend, Leonard Johnson. He was<br />

preceded in death by: his dad, mom, two brothers, a sister, and<br />

many aunts and uncles. He was a faithful member of<br />

First Church of the Open Bible in Springfield, where he<br />

served as a church trustee. Jimmy loved hunting, fishing,<br />

camping, and his family, especially his grandkids<br />

and great-grandkids. For 25 years, he worked for Sims<br />

Construction before working and retiring from the<br />

<strong>Madison</strong> County Engineer’s Office after 20 years. Funeral<br />

services were held on Nov. 27 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral<br />

Home and Crematory, London, with Pastor James<br />

Ballard officiating. Interment followed in Kirkwood<br />

Cemetery, London. The family suggests memorials in<br />

Jimmy’s name be made to the American Heart Association<br />

GORMAN<br />

Richard W. “Rick” Gorman, 65, of South Solon died<br />

on Dec. 7, <strong>2020</strong>, in Columbus. Born on April 8, 1955, in<br />

Columbus, he was a son of Roger and Jean (Rhanor)<br />

Gorman. A graduate of <strong>Madison</strong>-Plains High School,<br />

Rick had been a union electrician, belonging to and<br />

serving as past president of IBEW Local 636, Columbus.<br />

A faithful member of Grape Grove Church of Christ, he<br />

had served as pianist and deacon of the church. Survivors<br />

include: his son, Zachariah Gorman; daughter,<br />

Katelind Gorman; brother, John Gorman; niece and<br />

nephew, Chelsea Gorman and Tucker Gorman; aunt,<br />

Ruth Gorman; and several cousins. He was preceded in<br />

death by his father, mother, and several aunts and uncles,<br />

including Homer Gorman. Funeral services were<br />

held on Dec. 12 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and<br />

Crematory, London, with Pastor William Lott officiating.<br />

Interment followed in Grape Grove Cemetery. Visit<br />

PETEE<br />

Adam Petee, 42, of London died on Dec. 9, <strong>2020</strong>, in<br />

<strong>Madison</strong> Health. Born on April 17, 1978, in London, he<br />

was a son of Sherry (Collins) and Tommy Petee. Adam<br />

was a union electrician with the IBEW Local 683 and<br />

loved hunting, fishing, building things and babysitting<br />

his niece and nephew. Survivors include: his sons, Cody<br />

Petee and Gavin Petee; mother and stepfather, Sherry<br />

and Steve Kellum; brother, Sam (Jennifer) Petee; sister,<br />

Kathy (Garrett) Fellure; nieces, Katlyn and Alyson;<br />

nephews, Jaxson and Jacob; aunt, Donna (Danny)<br />

Fisher, uncles, Ronnie (Natalie) Collins and Robert<br />

(Debbie) Petee; many cousins, including special cousin,<br />

Jason Hahn. He was preceded in death by: his dad,<br />

Tommy; grandparents, Sam and JoAnn Collins and<br />

Robert and Dolores Guthrie; aunts and uncles, Terry<br />

and Gary Coil, Sharon Travis, Danny Collins, Greg<br />

Collins, David Petee and Dianna Sanders and Cousin<br />

Robbie Petee. Private services were held at the convenience<br />

of the family. Memorials in Adam’s name may be<br />

made to the funeral home for the benevolence of the<br />

family. The family was served by Eberle-Fisher Funeral<br />

HOPPER<br />

Hazel E. Hopper, 89, passed away on Dec. 10, <strong>2020</strong>.<br />

She was born to the late Donnie and Mae (Jackson) Osborne<br />

on April 22, 1931. She was a member of Church<br />

of Christ in Hilliard, Ohio. Hazel was preceded in death<br />

by: her husband, Harold Hopper; daughter, Elaine<br />

Hansen; brother, Forrest Wheeler; and sister, Leah<br />

Phillips. Hazel is survived by; her children, Yolanda<br />

Williams, Sherry Hopper, and son-in-law Bill Hansen;<br />

sister, Geraldine Blanton; grandchildren, Michele<br />

(Gary) Powers, Kelly (Darren) Minton, Michael<br />

Williams, Nikki (Bill) Raver, Heather (Dan) McLaughlin,<br />

TyLea and Shelby Hopper; numerous great-grandchildren<br />

and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom<br />

will miss her greatly. A private family graveside service<br />

was held on Dec. 15. Services were handled by Rader-<br />

McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson.<br />

HALL<br />

Charlie E. Hall, 86, of London died on Dec. 13, <strong>2020</strong>,<br />

in his residence. Born on Nov. 2, 1934, in Wheelwright,<br />

Ky., he was a son of Ermine and Dinah (Osborne) Hall.<br />

Charlie was an electrician with IBEW Local 683 and<br />

worked at Anheuser Busch in Columbus. A U.S. Air<br />

Force veteran,, he was also a, active member of the<br />

<strong>Madison</strong> County Senior Center. Survivors include: his<br />

wife of 57 years, Ellie (Damron) Hall; son and daughter-in-law,<br />

Charles E. and Wendy Hall III; grandchildren,<br />

Helena Hall and Charles E. Hall IV; brother,<br />

James Lewis (Shirley) Hall; sisters, Mary Rose Bailey<br />

and Nancy Sue (James Henry II) Duncan; nieces and<br />

nephews, James Henry Duncan III, Jeffrey Lewis Hall,<br />

Dinah Frances Cicenas and Pamela Sue Duncan. He<br />

was preceded in death by: his mother and father; son,<br />

Michael; sister, Wauketa; and niece, Mary Rose “Rosie.”<br />

A graveside service was held on Dec. 18 in Deercreek<br />

Township Cemetery, London. The family suggests memorials<br />

in Charlie’s name be made to: St. Paul<br />

Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Ave., Columbus, OH<br />

HASTINGS<br />

Robert Hastings, 71, of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed<br />

away on Dec. 13, <strong>2020</strong>. He enjoyed spending time with<br />

his family, mechanical work, playing poker, and listening<br />

to all kinds of music. He retired after working 35<br />

years at Fisher Cast Steel Products Inc. Robert was preceded<br />

in death by: his parents, Robert and Mary Hastings;<br />

son, Kevin Hastings; brothers, John and Rick<br />

Hastings. He is survived by: his loving wife, Ada Hastings;<br />

children, Tammy Darlington and Diana Hastings;<br />

brothers, Kenny and Larry Hastings; grandchildren,<br />

Misty, Ashley, Cody, Holly, Shelby, and Gage; and 11<br />

great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Dec.<br />

16 at Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson.<br />

Burial took place at Hampton Cemetery, West<br />

Jefferson. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing<br />

was observed, and guests were required to wear<br />

facial coverings in the funeral home.
