Village Voice February/March 2021CHRISTMASFUN IN P&TGAs Carols on the common could not takeplace in the usual way (due to you knowwhat!), Santa decided to make a specialvisit to the village in the days beforeChristmas to spread some much-neededseasonal cheer...Thank you Santa and your team! Our youngerresidents were certainly uplifted by theopportunity to see Santa and his SleighSanta is pleased to report that nearly £700was raised for the “Christmas tree” charitywhich was Carers Bucks. The Scouts werepleased to help Santa by loaning their trailer andhelping to decorate the sleigh. Thanks too, to allthe volunteers who accompanied Santa in thepouring rain!Santa wrote to VV after touring P&TG, andwe are pleased to print his letter below. We hopethat Santa might be able to visit us again atChristmas this year!Dear P&TG Residents,I’m back home nowand its bloomingfreezin, I think Rudolphwas very tired after hisextra excursion downManor Road however,enroute back to theNorth Pole, he managedto salvage a full bag ofcarrots from a truck inDover. He ate the lot forbreakfast this morningand has perked up atreat, ready for tonight.I would like toapplaud the efforts ofall my Elves andcollectors, what a fantastic achievement,delighting those families and little folk alongthe way, plus bagging £650+ for Bucks Carersto boot!My Land Sleigh this year had beenmeticulously put together by Team Cooper,(formerly F1) . Following many hours of toilingin their pit garage, they produced the beautifullyspacious and fabulous TC1. Rudolph told me itwas a joy to pull but did suffer from a littleundersteer and overheating brakes!Big Big thanks to Harry, Olli and Thomas fortheir Sleigh management work on and off site,and to Heather for finding that extra carrot forRudolph.Special thanks to our intrepid guide who nowhas honed his skills at reversing Reindeer.Bravo, no punters flattened!
