Baker shared that "It was a lot of hard work.<br />
However, I am determined to better serve my<br />
professional organizations and clients, empower the<br />
youth, and enhance the parliamentary profession, as<br />
a Professional Registered Parliamentarian. I want to<br />
thank all of those who supported and contributed to<br />
my journey to PRP status, especially NJSNA Region<br />
3, Chi Eta Phi (Tau Chi), and Northern NJBNA<br />
for affording me the opportunity to serve as your<br />
President and Parliamentarian. Most of all, I thank<br />

Dr. Laura Mularz Board<br />
Chairperson at the December<br />
2020 meeting. In 2018,<br />
Mularz was appointed to<br />
the NJCCN Board by the<br />
Speaker of the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong><br />
(NJ) Assembly based on<br />
the recommendation of the<br />
Organization of <strong>Nurse</strong> Leaders<br />
of NJ. Mularz, a member of<br />
Laura Mularz<br />
NJSNA Region 6, is currently Director of Patient Care<br />
Services at Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical<br />
Center. She has experience as <strong>Nurse</strong> Manager and<br />
Advanced Practice <strong>Nurse</strong> where her role focused on<br />
professional development of the nursing staff, research,<br />
and caring for patients with wounds and ostomies. In<br />
the past, she held a position as a Scientific Indexer for<br />
Schering Plough Research Institute where she was<br />
responsible for abstracting and indexing scientific articles<br />
and has served as adjunct faculty in a number of nursing<br />
programs. Mularz received her Diploma in Nursing from<br />
Muhlenberg School of Nursing, BSN and MSN from<br />
Seton Hall University, and DNP in Nursing Leadership<br />
from Rutgers University. Her capstone project, titled<br />
“Development, Implementation, and Evaluation<br />
of Curricula to Improve Front-line <strong>Nurse</strong> Manager<br />
Engagement” was presented nationally and published in<br />
the Journal for <strong>Nurse</strong>s in Professional Development.<br />
Mularz is presently a manuscript reviewer for the<br />
American Journal of Nursing for wound and skin care<br />
manuscripts. She holds American <strong>Nurse</strong>s Credentialing<br />
Center (ANCC) Board Certification as an Adult Clinical<br />
<strong>Nurse</strong> Specialist and <strong>Nurse</strong> Executive. She is currently<br />
part-time Instructor, Advance Practice Division, Rutgers<br />
School of Nursing, and an Item Writer for the ANCC for<br />
the <strong>Nurse</strong> Executive Exam.
