many such recollections for <strong>the</strong> benefit <strong>of</strong> Region 6 and. all <strong>the</strong><br />
Forest Service.<br />
I also want to thank Clyde uam, Rex Wakefield and Jack Smith for<br />
<strong>the</strong> inform<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>the</strong>y supplied <strong>at</strong> my request concerning Ray's tenure on<br />
<strong>the</strong> Willamette. Since it would not have been <strong>the</strong> story as written by<br />
Ray, I decided it best to stop h<strong>is</strong> memoirs where he did. I will, however<br />
return <strong>the</strong>ir m<strong>at</strong>erial to <strong>the</strong> Willa,xuette in <strong>the</strong> hopes it can be made a<br />
