Welcome to Out and About magazine Costa Blanca June 2021 as things start hotting up in the Costa Blanca and Spain and now that Spain is allowing visitors from the UK without any Covid testing, June is likely to see holidaymakers return for the start of the summer as well as those who plan to reunite with family. June is also the month for the postponed event of Euro 2020 to 2021 which in turn should see many bars being busy and full of people of different nationalities having fun from 12th June.

Flower Arranging Photographic Competition<br />
We are taking this opportunity to alert<br />
you to what our committee hope will<br />
be the first face-to-face competition,<br />
following further relaxation to the covid<br />
p<strong>and</strong>emic regulations, at our <strong>June</strong> General<br />
Assembly.<br />
The competition is a chance to show the<br />
members your fabulous flower arranging skills<br />
using the theme ‘Afternoon Tea’. The closing<br />
date for your photographic submissions is<br />
Monday 24th May, so judging can be completed<br />
before the <strong>June</strong> GA on Thursday 3rd <strong>June</strong>. This<br />
early notice will give you the chance to use<br />
your garden flowers, as they now start to burst<br />
into flower following the long cool winter, in<br />
a variety of arrangements – you can submit as<br />
many photos as you want so why not take one<br />
each week <strong>and</strong> select the best one or two to send<br />
to Secretaryu3avalldelpop@gmail.com before the<br />
deadline.<br />
The submissions will be judged in three<br />
categories by Christine Brazier:<br />
• Professional flower arrangers<br />
• Members who attend flower arranging groups<br />
• Member who really just love flowers but<br />
haven’t got a clue.<br />
Fingers crossed we will be able to display the<br />
photos at the <strong>June</strong> GA, so don’t delay start today.<br />
My wife has already started her portfolio of<br />
photographs, so I will have to go – ‘Tea is Served’<br />
[photo], this arrangement has been made in the<br />
garden not a vase!!!<br />
The vaccine release has started in our area, so<br />
please take every precaution to stay safe in these<br />
final weeks before the rules can be relaxed.<br />
