Welcome to Out and About magazine Costa Blanca June 2021 as things start hotting up in the Costa Blanca and Spain and now that Spain is allowing visitors from the UK without any Covid testing, June is likely to see holidaymakers return for the start of the summer as well as those who plan to reunite with family. June is also the month for the postponed event of Euro 2020 to 2021 which in turn should see many bars being busy and full of people of different nationalities having fun from 12th June.

Spain offers so much especially in <strong>June</strong>.<br />

Everything is on your door step, as such,<br />

or travel a short enjoyable distance. Here<br />

are a few “food for Thought” ideas to soak<br />

up some happy times visiting local events.<br />

The <strong>2021</strong> International Music festival<br />

Moraira is being held next to Moraira<br />

Castle in <strong>June</strong>. The event starts at 6pm<br />

<strong>and</strong> features 7 different live acts for you<br />

to enjoy. If you are visiting the Moors &<br />

Christians Fiesta in Moraira this year,<br />

come <strong>and</strong> enjoy this fantastic evening of<br />

live music.<br />

The “Fogueres San Juan de la Cometa” is<br />

a Fiesta in Calpe, which is held normally<br />

towards the end of on <strong>June</strong> <strong>and</strong> has been<br />

printed 23rd <strong>June</strong> <strong>2021</strong>. The Night of San<br />

Juan is celebrated in Calpe as the shortest<br />

night of the year <strong>and</strong> summer solstice.<br />

fiesta one of the highlights of the Calpe<br />

fiesta experience. This is the night of the<br />

summer solstice ritual. The next night, the<br />

24th of <strong>June</strong>, is the eve of San Juan Bautista,<br />

the patron saint of La Cometa. Bonfires are<br />

built up out of old wooden furniture <strong>and</strong><br />

are lit during the night in celebration of<br />

the forthcoming summer. Again subject to<br />

confirmation.<br />

Moraira/Teulada. Corpus Christi, Moors<br />

& Christians Fiesta - Main Gala Parade<br />

San Juan Bonfires again it is scheduled<br />

for <strong>June</strong> subject to confirmation.<br />

Why not spend your time in the port in<br />

Alicante exploring the delights of Villena,<br />

tours might be available. Explore Atalaya<br />

Castle — widely considered to be Villena’s<br />

most important attraction — also normally<br />

there is available a private guide <strong>and</strong> you<br />

can gain insight into the region’s rich<br />

history. Head onward to a local winery <strong>and</strong><br />

olive grove, <strong>and</strong> tour the bottling rooms,<br />

cellars <strong>and</strong> vineyards as a guide sheds<br />

light on the grape varietals thriving in the<br />

region’s fertile soils. Sample delicious local<br />

wines accompanied by Iberian ham during<br />

a tasting session then return in comfort to<br />

Alicante.<br />

Campello <strong>and</strong> Villajoyosa Villages Trip<br />

Factory. Campello <strong>and</strong> Villajoyosa tempt<br />

visitors to explore their resort-worthy<br />

beaches, Roman ruins, <strong>and</strong> Mediterranean<br />
