This is another milestone for our fledgling organization. We are proud of what we have accomplished in 17 months and face current economic and regulatory challenges with confidence that we are filling a critical niche. It is the enthusiasm of our hundreds of volunteers and the happiness of our guest families that reinforces our commitment to our vision. Each time there is a need, Beth receives immediate responses and offers to help. Each time a guest family expresses gratitude as they are leaving our program, it reinforces our shared vision. Although our 2009 operating expenses exceeded our income, we were gratified by the outpouring of financial support during the fourth quarter. In spite of the economic downturn, the contributions from individuals and congregations were gratifying. We look forward to working with all of you in 2010 as we continue to assist families who need a little help during difficult times. Thank you in advance for your continued support. Candace L. To that end we will keep this note to all of you brief and simply say: Please accept our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have contributed in one way or another to the success of our families. Warm Regards, Beth and Marcia Mission Statement: The Metrowest IHN is a cooperative, interfaith partnership offering hope to homeless families with children through safe transitional shelter, meals, and supportive case management as they seek permanent housing. *Both Host and Support Congregation

Our families are sent to us through many different referral agencies such as: Bridge Over Troubled Water, Boston Department of Transitional Assistance, Framingham Framingham Public Schools Framingham Town Hall Hudson Housing Authority Interfaith Hospitality Networks Management Care South End Clinic, Boston Milford Housing Authority Natick Service Council Northboro Housing Authority South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), Framingham Town of Natick Travelers Aid Family Services Boston Wellesley Friendly Aid Supplemental Services: In addition to shelter, meals and hospitality, MIHN staff and volunteers provided the following: • Budgeting Classes • Clothing • Debt Reduction Counseling • Employment Search and Networking • Housing Search • Math, English, ESL and GED Tutoring • Parenting Classes • Resume Writing • Spiritual Counseling • Transportation Families were also connected to community resources for the following services: • Career Counseling • Child Care • Dental • Legal • Medical • Rental Assistance Please join us in welcoming our newest host congregation Crossroads Community Church in Framingham MIHN Day Center Through the generosity of Pastor Nancy Hitt and the First Baptist Church, MIHN’s Day Center has a place to call home. Thank You to the Congregation of FBC, Natick! Located in the center of Natick at 13 Common Street, MIHN maintains its office, guest lounge, and guest shower and laundry facilities. Open 365 days a year from 7am to 5pm, the Day Center is home-base for MIHN families. It is where school age children catch the bus, adult guests search for housing and employment, and families relax and regroup on the weekends. The Day Center’s location is optimal with the beautiful Natick Common just outside our door, as well as many municipal offices and stores in walking distance. Public transportation is easily accessible with the MWRTA bus stop at the Natick Common, providing transportation throughout Metrowest. Additionally, the Center is just two blocks from the MBTA Commuter Rail.
