Expo 2020 Dubai unveils <strong>the</strong> Women’s Pavilion <strong>in</strong><br />

collaboration with Cartier<br />

will demonstrate an<br />

important pr<strong>in</strong>ciple:<br />

when women thrive,<br />

all of humanity<br />

thrives.<br />

Expo 2020 Dubai has<br />

reaffirmed its commitment<br />

to gender equality and<br />

female empowerment,<br />

unveil<strong>in</strong>g creative content<br />

and programm<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>the</strong> Women’s<br />

Pavilion <strong>in</strong> collaboration with Cartier.<br />

Tak<strong>in</strong>g place <strong>in</strong> Dubai from 1<br />

October <strong>2021</strong> to 31 March 2022 next<br />

year, <strong>the</strong> Women’s Pavilion will host<br />

an array of events, programm<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and mean<strong>in</strong>gful dialogues that will<br />

not only enhance knowledge and<br />

understand<strong>in</strong>g of gender equality<br />

and women’s empowerment, but<br />

also <strong>in</strong>vites visitors from around <strong>the</strong><br />

world to jo<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> mak<strong>in</strong>g of a new<br />

world.<br />

Celebrat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> significant<br />

contributions of women, <strong>the</strong> pavilion<br />

will demonstrate an important<br />

pr<strong>in</strong>ciple: when women thrive, all<br />

of humanity thrives. It will highlight<br />

important contributions women have<br />

made <strong>in</strong> advanc<strong>in</strong>g societies, as well<br />

as <strong>the</strong> challenges women still face,<br />

especially as <strong>the</strong> world navigates<br />

through <strong>the</strong> COVID-19 pandemic<br />

and works toward a more susta<strong>in</strong>able<br />

future.<br />

Break<strong>in</strong>g stereotypes and<br />

deconstruct<strong>in</strong>g misconceptions on<br />

women’s roles, <strong>the</strong> pavilion will raise<br />

awareness by showcas<strong>in</strong>g both<br />

female and male contributors to<br />

women’s empowerment and gender<br />

equality, <strong>in</strong>spir<strong>in</strong>g visitors of all ages<br />

to become change-makers with<strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>ir own communities and beyond.<br />

Across <strong>the</strong> six months of Expo, <strong>the</strong><br />

Women’s Pavilion will host an array of<br />

events, programm<strong>in</strong>g and mean<strong>in</strong>gful<br />

dialogues that will not only enhance<br />

knowledge and understand<strong>in</strong>g<br />

of gender equality and women’s<br />

empowerment, but also drive<br />

tangible, collaborative action that can<br />
