• not have been convicted of an offence involving sports fish and game<br />

• submit their completed candidacyform to the Returning Officer on or before 5pm on<br />

• submit with their candidacyform acandidate profile of up to 250 words<br />

Electoral Roll and Voter Eligibility<br />

To vote in theelection, apersonmusthavepurchased a2020/21adult whole seasonfishing<br />

licenceorfamilylicence or a<strong>2021</strong> adult wholeseason gamelicencefor the<strong>North</strong> <strong>Canterbury</strong><br />

Fish and Game region andhaveindicatedtheir desiretobeincluded on theCouncil’s electoral<br />

roll by ticking thebox on their licence application form.<br />

An electoralroll of licence holders eligible to vote in theelectionisavailable for inspectionatthe<br />

Counciloffice, 595 Johns Road, Harewood,Christchurch.<br />

Anyone not alreadyincluded on the electoral rolland who believes theyqualifytobeincluded, can<br />

Waimakariri District Council<br />

Review of Representation Arrangements for the 2022 Local Elections<br />

On 3<strong>August</strong> <strong>2021</strong> the Waimakariri District Council reviewed its representation arrangements, and resolved that the<br />

following proposal apply for the Council and its Community Boards for the elections to be held on 8October 2022:<br />

Council Representation<br />

It is proposed that the Council comprise of ten (10) members elected from three (3) wards, and the mayor. The three<br />

wards reflect the following identified communities of interest:<br />

In accordance with section 19V(2) of the Local Electoral Act 2001 the population that each member represents must<br />

be within the range of 6,465 +/- 10% (5,820 to 7,110), unless particular community of interest considerations justify<br />

otherwise.<br />

It is proposed that the following four community boards be elected:<br />

Kaiapoi-Tuahiwiand Woodend-Sefton Community Boards<br />

The Kaiapoi-Tuahiwi and Woodend-Sefton communities will each elect five (5) members. The boards will not be<br />

subdivided for electoral purposes. They will each have two appointed members as follows:<br />

Oxford-Ohoka Community Board<br />

The Oxford-Ohoka communities will elect six (6) members. Two(2) members will beappointed to the Board from the<br />

Oxford-Ohoka Ward.<br />

The Oxford-OhokaCommunity Board will be subdivided for electoral purposes as follows:<br />
