outgoing 2021 batch of students witnessed an encouraging

trend. Keeping in mind the current situation, our recruiters

have exhibited agility and responsiveness in quickly shifting

to an online mode for conducting the placement process.

Our students have been equally agile in adapting to the new

process and performing well. This is reflected in the keen

interest shown by corporate houses across industry verticals

in recruiting from our campus and offering attractive pay

packages to our students. The positive experience that our

recruiters have had with our students from previous batches

who have made successful careers in these organizations is

a major reason for their continued support to our placement

placement team ensured that we transition

seamlessly to online and hybrid mode of teaching

and the students continue to have the best learning

experience. We continue our focus on maintaining

high academic rigor with adequate exposure to real

world problems and opportunities to engage with

the corporate world. In addition, the diversity of

students at IBS Bangalore makes for a unique and

healthy environment that encourages interaction

and peer learning.

Placements at IBS Bangalore have always

been a two-way process. The reputation of

IBS Bangalore and the excellent contact and

network with companies built over the years by

the faculty members and placement managers

this year. The BFSI sector continued to

lead the way in terms of recruitments.

The emerging Tech sector contributed

significantly this year. We are also happy

to share that we have been maintaining

healthy CTC levels over the past eight years.

A practice-oriented curriculum, a conducive

learning environment, the untiring efforts of

our faculty members, constant mentoring

by our alumni, useful inputs from the

placement team, and appropriate soft-skills

interventions make our students industry

ready while they are still in college. This

ensures that our students are ready to get

into their jobs quickly and start adding value

With close to 58,000 alumni in all parts of the

globe occupying senior positions and the institute

consistently achieving high rankings in B-School

surveys conducted by reputed agencies, we at

IBS are, as always, committed to grooming future

leaders with an uncompromising focus on relevance

and rigor. With the high level of integrity and

flexibility that the industry demands today, we are

confident that our students will contribute well to the

growth of your organization.

Please continue to support us in our endeavor to

scale greater heights. I am more than confident that

As an IBS Alumni, I have learnt a lot throughout

my 2 years of the management course. Its

diverse culture helped me learn diverse culture,

values and goals. It encourages self-motivated,

independent thinkers and learners striving for their

personal goal. IBS has always been a backbone

for students’ success and competition. IBS has

good bonds with several industry where it seeks

input from all the sectors and helps students in

their placements. The institute maintains high

standard of integrity and performance leading to

achievement of academic and career goals.

IBS prepares students for lifelong learning where

we learned about KSA (Knowledge, Skills and

Attitude) and technology advancement through

our mentors and talented professors. Studentteacher

relationship is lot beyond just classroom

at IBS. It is known for invigorating mix of

practical and updated case studies, lectures

and structured assignment, followed by

presentations, business ideas, Interview and

mock group discussions, making us industry

ready. IBS helps students expand their horizon

and understand management level to its best.

Also, it is a perfect place for students who do

not want to miss upon cultural events as well

as a desired job, one is looking for. There are

more than 20 clubs and several events, sport

activities, driven the students under a careful

guidance of the professors at IBS. Along with

these activities our placement cell works hard

to develop a hero within us and prepare us

for the corporate world. Regular preparation

interviews and mock group discussions were

practiced and recorded to get a familiar idea

on where one is going wrong. I’m grateful to

IBS Bangalore for fostering me who I am today.

IBS was my first step to explore outside world and it truly

fulfilled the expectation I had in mind. I got an opportunity

to work with great minds and learned from best industry

professionals. Made great friends which are still just a

call away and always ready to help out. Professors were

encouraging and institute provided great platform to host

cultural festivals as well as participate in intra college

festivals which helped me to face the corporate world. I

came to IBS with a goal of joining financial industry and

IBS helped in providing right direction to my goal. The

continuous encouragement from faculties and structured

course outline helped me achieve my goal by getting placed

on very first day of campus placement. I got a chance to

start my journey with Crisil and explored avenues which

took me to the USA and helped me settle down here.

Currently I am part of Futures Trading technology team of

Goldman Sachs and work in their New York office. I am a

proud alumnus of IBS and cherish the learning and the good

memories I created during my college days there.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can

use to change the world” - Nelson Mandela

The above mentioned quote resonates exactly with my life.

IBS Education has changed my entire world. Being a middleclass

farmer’s daughter to becoming a corporate employee

was a real journey. This journey was made exciting by IBS

Bangalore through the Summer internship that gave me

exposure to real life corporate world, various club activities,

excel course, various courses in management and the soft

skills classes. Engaging myself in these activities have

shaped me to become who I am today.

Interview Experience: HCL was the first company I had

applied for and getting selected in that company itself was

an unforgettable event of my life. When I look back, I am

convinced that the Placement preparatory sessions helped

me crack the interview and get the job offer. Special thanks

to the teaching faculty and non- teaching staff at IBS who

helped me to improve in many ways to realize my dreams.

It would be selfish on my part if I did not acknowledge the contribution of the

faculty and placement team of IBS Bangalore in shaping up my career. At IBS

Bangalore, the peer learning was the best part of the course which helped me

to develop skills needed to excel in my career.Peer learning played a huge role

by creating an environment of healthy classroom discussions in all the courses

and developed immense confidence in us to face the corporate world. When

I joined the program as a fresher, the 14 week Summer internship program

gave me a brilliant opportunity to explore the corporate world by interning in a

wealth management company where the learning was huge.

Additionally there were a lot of grooming sessions before placements started

and those sessions were very helpful in preparing me for the placement

process. For example the Mock GDs and PIs gave me a feel of what the

recruiter would actually be looking for in a candidate. I am thankful to IBS for

giving all of us so many opportunities with various companies and I am proud

to say that I grabbed one such opportunity with NTT DATA Business Solutions

formerly known as Itelligence.

2 years @ IBS has been a platform of immense learning not just

theoretical but practical learning which ranges from execution of

personal ideas in forms of events, solving real time cases in team

work and managing not just self but various teams at different levels.

The platform provided here has improved my personality with areas

like handling situations (crisis management), multi-tasking and

efficient decision making, thereby increasing my confidence level

and corporate exposure. The most key thing during the tenure is the

mandatory summer internship program made me get the feel of real

time corporate work culture and enhancing my real time learning at

the firm named Arvind Composites (Arvind Group). After I finished

my 3 months of SIP, it went smoother after I was placed through

college in a company named ICRA Limited, Mumbai where I am being

admired for what i am and all the professional skills developed and

enhanced during my IBS journey for which the entire credit goes to

the miraculous faculty members, diligent and empathetic placement

managers and my fellow friends. I am sure I wouldn’t be where I am

now without the support of my family and the Life at IBS.

My 2 years journey with IBS Bangalore cannot be penned down so easily.

IBS has been an experiential journey for me ever since I joined in as a novice

student and then graduated into a transformed individual. Not to mention

that it’s not just about the faculty and college which transformed me into

where I am today but it also demands a lot of hard work, sincerity and

discipline to succeed as a student. I joined IBS to learn about HR and trust

me I learned a lot from my teachers. The Faculty in IBS are still my Gurus!

Right from the first semester till my placements and even now they are

always there to guide and nurture you. IBS doesn’t only give you a platform

to complete your MBA but also gives you wings to fly and pursue your own

interests. One such interest that I pursued was “Dramatics Club”. Oh boy! It

was an amazing journey to be a part of every function and performing on

the stage. From guiding us on our subjects to preparing us for the corporate

It’s an invigorating journey that IBS Bangalore offers

throughout the two years of PGPM program. There

is a fine balance between learning and fun which

is the best thing. When I refer as “fun”, I mean the

way the syllabus is framed. Almost all the subjects

are handled with a practical approach that gives

the students a great understanding of the concepts

and how things work in real life. The classes happen

through case studies that encourage students to

build skills in research, presentations, skits, self-made

videos etc. The learning is strengthened by the 14-

week Summer Internship program that focuses on

providing excellent exposure to the corporate world.

The two Management fests Manthan and Tarkash

and the club events are conducted during the evenings.

Sports is an integral part of IBS B culture and regular

tournaments are conducted in Cricket, Football, Volleyball,

Badminton, Basketball and so on.

Last but not the least- the Faculty at IBS B are highly

approachable and each one of them has extensive

experience in teaching and bring abundant industry

knowledge (share their own experience) along with them.

The professional support in the final placements and

personal/professional mentorship provided to students

enable them to clear the placement rounds and grab

excellent job offers. The alumni from various industry and

companies come to college and take mock interviews and

provide their valuable feedback to every individual.

ICFAI Business School offers unique

combination of learning and selfdevelopment.

The amount of support and

guidance I got from the faculties and the

Placement cell has really helped in securing

my placement in a Big4 at a lucrative

salary package. I was very confident and

cracked the Aptitude, Group Discussion and

to the COVID-19 crisis, many of the regular recruiters

still showed their trust and faith in hiring talent from our

campus this year. IBS Bangalore, once again was able to

achieve 90% placements for all the eligible candidates.

This placement season once again saw a huge demand in

the Tax & Advisory space with the likes of Deloitte, PWC

We also had a good number of companies from the IT/ITES,

Real Estate, Financial Services sector which collectively

contributed to 36% of the overall job offers. The other sectors

which hired this year included FMCG / Retail, Insurance, Market

Research, Manufacturing and Logistics.

Some of the prominent recruiters which hired aggressively this

year were Deloitte, PWC, HCL, ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential,

Property Pistol and NoBroker.com.

As many as 122 companies looked at hiring students from IBS

Overall, it was a very interesting year of campus placements

IBS Bangalore is part of our carefully curated

B-Schools, across the country, that we have had

the fortune of being associated with, for our

campus hiring needs. Over the years, we have

hired several students from this prestigious

institution for the coveted Tax profile in our

firm, and we have observed the quality of their

students - in terms of their subjective and

technical knowledge, communication skills,

and emotional quotient - to be consistently

superlative. The faculty and staff of the

institution have also been very cooperative

with us and been relentless in ensuring that our

recruitment events are carried out in a smooth

and organized manner, not to mention that our

lofty business demands were always catered to

gracefully. We wish to continue our association

with the institution over the years to come and

we wish them all the very best!

We associated with IBS Bangalore a

year ago and our experience of Campus

Placement has been amazing. The

students have a diverse set of skills, were

well prepared for the interviews and are

open to learning. We are impressed with

the placement cell’s seamless coordination

throughout the hiring process. Looking

forward to add talented professionals from

IBS Bangalore to our workforce.

We look forward to having a long-term

association and wishing the institution all

the success!

Because of such good work by your student

and as promised on campus, we have revised

his salary effective 1st June 2021. We are happy

to inform you that in the coming year we

would like to recruit more students from your

esteemed institute and continue this longlasting

association.

‘It was the first time that GHF ventured

into Campus hiring and IBS Bangalore

was among the first colleges that

we tied up with. The experience was

smooth, seamless and very pleasant.

Philip was extremely approachable and

was a great support throughout the

placement process.

In addition to this – the quality of the

batch was also good. The students

were enthusiastic, responsive and

energetic. I can vouch for the batch

quality considering how well the

incumbent from IBS Bangalore is

performing with us.’

IBSB has always been a pioneer in

inspiring world class education.

Our association with IBSB has

been delightful as we got one of

their best students as our full-time

employee. They train, mould and

direct the students making them

industry ready.

Appreciating the effort of

Prof.J.Venkataraman, Shubha

Rohith for taking the extra mile in

equipping the students for many

more laurels which they would get

once they join the corporate world.
