FOR THE KATE VALLEY LANDFILL COMMUNITY TRUST<br />

The Kate Valley Landfill Community Trust is seeking nominations for one community<br />

trustee from the Waipara Community Area.<br />

The principal task of this charitable Trust is to distribute funds provided by Transwaste<br />

<strong>Canterbury</strong>for purposes thatare beneficial to people whoseprincipalplaceofresidence<br />

is within the contributing area to the Waipara School (the Community Area). This<br />

includes funding community activities or facilities in any location that are capable of<br />

conferring such benefit.<br />

In the event ofmore than one nomination being received, apublic meeting will beheld<br />

in the WaiparaMemorial Hall on Monday,15November <strong>2021</strong>.Voting will be open from<br />

6:30pm-7:30pm. Avote will take place to elect one trustee who will be appointed for<br />

aterm of three years. It will be arequirement ofthose wishing tovote to be present on<br />

the night of this electionmeetingand to sign aregisterstatingtheir nameand address in<br />

order thateligibility to vote can be assessed. No proxy/absentee votes will be accepted.<br />

The existing trustee whose term isexpiring is not precluded from offering themselves<br />

for re-election.<br />

Community Area identified on the plan in the Trust Deed.<br />

Any person over the age of 18 whose principal place ofresidence iswithin the<br />

Community Area and whose name and address appears on the applicable current<br />

electoral roll.<br />

How Can aNomination Be Made?<br />

Written noticeinthe formofaletter ofnomination is required. This must:<br />

and that person’s date of birth andsignature.<br />
