10 Process for GWSA Trips – PLEASE READ NEW PROCEDURES FOR BOOKING THIS TRIP ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CURRENT GWSA MEMBERSHIP AND PRESENT THEIR ONTARIO PROOF OF VACCINATION* ALONG WITH GOVERNMENT-ISSUED IDENTIFICATION SHOWING NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH TO BOARD THE BUS, AND TO GAIN ENTRANCE TO ESTABLISHMENTS ON THE TRIP. IF YOUR MEMBERSHIP NEEDS RENEWAL, PLEASE SEE FRONT DESK STAFF AT THE EVERGREEN CENTRE. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A COVID-19 SCREENING AND A CONTACT LIST. THESE ARE AVAILABLE ON THE GWSA WEBSITE LOCATED ON THE TRIPS, TRAVEL AND TOURS PAGE. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PRINT THESE FORMS, COPIES WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM A TRAVEL COMMITTEE MEMBER THE DAY OF THE TRIP. * ACCEPTABLE ONTARIO PROOF OF VACCINATION IS YOUR DIGITAL OR PAPER ONTARIO VACCINATION RECEIPT (2 DOSES PLUS THE 2 WEEK WAITING PERIOD AFTER SECOND DOSE), OR THE ENHANCED ONTARIO VACCINATION CERTIFICATE TO BE AVAILABLE AFTER OCTOBER 22. THE GWSA IPP ACCESS CARD CAN NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED AS PROOF OF VACCINATION. General: All travellers on this GWSA Travel Club Trip must be a member of the Guelph Wellington Seniors Association. All travellers will be required to present their Ontario Proof of Vaccination* and government-issued identification showing name and date of birth to board the bus, and for establishments visited on this trip. All travellers will be required to complete a COVID-19 Screening Form prior to boarding the bus. Transportation reserved is a coach with lavatory. Should participation warrant, a smaller coach without lavatory may be taken. Please refrain from using scented products during GWSA trips. Booking Your Trip: Register Online (preferred method): Sign up for a RecEnroll account with the City of Guelph https://cityofguelph.perfectmind.com/SocialSite/MemberRegistration/MemberSignIn. Please see the Trip, Travel and Tours page on the GWSA website for specific instructions. Registration will be available from Wednesday, October 6, 2021, until the trip is fully booked, or booking will be closed on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Register by telephone: By contacting Customer Service at the Evergreen Seniors Centre at 519-823-1291, on or after October 6, 2021. MasterCard, Visa, Amex or Visa Debit can be accepted for online or telephone booking. Register at the front desk at the Evergreen: On or after, October 6, 2021, until the trip is fully booked, or booking will be closed on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. There will not be assigned seating on this trip. Seating will be available on a first come first serve basis. Accessibility (1) We regret there will not be any wheelchair access on the bus for this trip. Walkers are permitted and can be stored in the cargo area of the bus. Please note: The coach will be sanitized and sold at full capacity. Masks will be required for all participants. (2) Travellers with a disability, who require assistance during the trip, must be accompanied by a person who is fully capable of rendering such assistance (this person must be an adult for some trips). 11 (Continued from page 10) Join us to kick off the holiday season with a festive fun-filled day in Niagara Falls. First, we will visit the Greg Frewin Theatre for a spell-binding live magic show complete with wild tigers! The bus will then proceed to the Skylon Tower. There you will have a breath-taking view of the Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil Falls from the 775-foot-high observation deck. Thereafter, you will dine on a full course dinner in the Revolving Restaurant (menu attached) while revolving 360 degrees per hour, with a view of the entire Niagara region. To complete the festivities, the bus will embark on the Winter Festival of Lights tour. This is a trip you won’t want to miss! Trip Price Includes: Round trip bus transportation from the Evergreen Centre Admission to Greg Frewin Theatre Admission to the Skylon Tower Observation Deck Full Course Dinner (from select menu) in the Skylon Tower Revolving Restaurant Note: You will be contacted prior to the trip for your meal selection Bus tour of the Winter Festival of Lights Taxes and Gratuities Not Included: Lunch – we suggest bringing a light lunch to eat on the bus. Please note: Drinks (except water), ice cream or chip type snacks are not permitted on the bus. Appetizers will be available for purchase (at an additional cost) at the Greg Frewin Theatre (menu attached). If you are unable to print these forms, copies will be available from a travel committee member the day of the trip. Remember to bring Ontario Proof of Vaccination* and government-issued identification showing name and date of birth. **Refund Policy** This trip is NON-REFUNDABLE; doctor’s certificates will not be accepted. You will not receive a refund if you are denied bus entrance due to a positive COVID-19 screening and/or do not present Ontario Proof of Vaccination* and government-issued identification showing name and date of birth. Should there be a mandatory provincial shutdown due to COVID-19 or GWSA cancels the trip due to lack of participation, all participants will receive a full refund to their method of payment. It takes time to put these trips together and we need YOUR commitment to make these trips happen. DON’T WAIT! That means booking your trip BEFORE the trip must be cancelled due to low participation. The Travel Committee must give the number of bookings by November 18, 2021, and if there are not enough reservations AT THAT TIME, the trip will be cancelled!! If you have already booked your seat, you will receive a refund. Please do not park your vehicles in the Evergreen parking lot while you are on a day trip. Vehicles must be left at the Carousel parking area in Riverside Park where you will board the bus. This allows for other members to have a place to park when they come throughout the day.
