elcome to the Swiss winter! We owls are
fortunate enough to get a bird’s eye view of
the magical snow-covered landscape. The dense
forests, rugged peaks, mighty glaciers (p. 22) and
lively cities are truly impressive when viewed from
up high.

One of my favourite things to do is to perch on a
branch in the forest and watch the world go by.
So I can tell you all about the people who scale
mountains on skis only to glide down the untouched
slopes (p. 10). I’ve been told it almost feels
like you’re flying! People seem to have a great time
tobogganing too (p. 42). You can hear their laughter
echoing through the forest. I’m often astounded by
these icy adventurers; the bravest of them will even
dare to climb vertical walls of ice (p. 25). And these
people don’t seem to tire even at night, as they make
their way through the beautifully lit alleyways of
villages and towns.
