Strong systems winning factor
By ROBYN BRISTOW
Lime Real Estate, the winner of the
North Canterbury Business Award’s
Hellers Emerging Business, has been
built from the ground up on strong
systems, the judges said.
Its innovative branding, strong staff
culture and commitment were all
elements that caught the judge’s
attention.
The award winners were announced
on line, by host Enterprise North
Canterbury, after Covid19 protocols
scuppered the celebration dinner.
Managing director of Lime Real
Estate, Brooke Azzopardi says they were
very excited and stoked that all their
hard work had been recognised in
winning the award.
‘‘It was unexpected.
‘‘We have worked extremely hard over
the past 18 months since we opened to
be in this position,’’ Brooke says.
Strong systems were put in place right
from the beginning, says Brooke who
started out in the industry at aged 17.
She used her experience, and all the
good bits learned over the years when
setting up Lime Real Estate. Positivity,
honesty and service are at the heart of
everything Lime Real Estate does.
“We specialise in providing an
amazing customer experience with
customer service being our passion and
priority,” Brooke says.
“We are an independent, 100 percent
locally owned real estate brand.”
The company has now opened a
second office, located in Rangiora.
This means the team can tailor the
business to suit the needs of its growing
business in the community by providing
real estate services to clients in North
Canterbury, Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Oxford,
Amberley and everywhere in between
plus the Christchurch area and even
development project sales, and property
‘‘Our whole team comes together with
the common goal of providing a
seamless and personal experience to
every client,’’ Brooke says.
“We opened our new business in
lockdown.
“We essentially opened and closed the
business on the same day.
‘‘This was extremely nerve racking
and upsetting for us as we were
uncertain what our future would be.”
However the plan “to stay open and
generate what business we could to help
us push forward,” has worked well.
“We have the community to thank for
this, for so graciously supporting us,
believing in us and choosing to support
local,” Brooke says.
“We intend to continue working
towards our core company value of
‘‘supporting the community that support
us”.
