18 Surat-Al-Imran Lan Talnalu �� “Ln tanalul’birra hatta tunfiqoo mim’ maa tuhibboona, wa maa tunfiqoo min shai’in, fa innal’laaha bihee aleem”. [92]. 92. “You will never achieve righteousness till you spend from that which you love, and anything which you spend, thus Allaah will certainly has the knowledge of it”. Quoting Al-Bukhari, Muslim and Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he asked Abu Talaha, to distribute, the famous garden called “Bi’er Haain” which he owned, among his relatives, is so happened that after the revelation of this Aayat Abu Talaha, approached Rasoolullaah (SAS) and said that the above garden which he owned was very dear to him, and he desires to spend it in the way of Allaah which was very dear to him, “Abu talaha distributed the garden accordingly among his relatives, with the permission of Rasoolullaah [SAS] Quoting Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Ibn Kaseeer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) that after the revelation of this Aayat Umar (Rz) approached Rasoolullaah (SAS) and said, “The land which I acquired in the Battle of Khaibar, is very dear to me, and I would like to give it in the way of Allaah”. Rasoolullaah (SAS) said to him “Instead keep the land with you, and spend its yield in the way of Allaah”. �� ”Kullut’ta’aami kaana hillan libanee isaela illa maa harram israelu ala nafsihi min qabli, tu'nazzilat’taowraatu, qul fa’too bittaowraati fat’loohaa, in kuntum saadiqeen”. [93]. 93. “All the food was permitted to the children of Israel, accept that which Israel (YaqoobAS) had made prohibited for his self, before the Taowrat was sent down, say, “Bring the Taowrat and read it if you are truthful”. Quoting Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) as narrated by Ibn Abbas, that a delegation of the Jews visited Rasoolullaah (SAS) and said, “We have certain questions, which no one can answer except a prophet” Rasoolullaah (SAS) asked them, “If I answer your questions correctly, Do you agree to accept Islaam and follow me”. They all agreed, they put the questions (1) What is the food which Israel (Yaqoob(AS)) prohibited for himself? (2) The quality of women’s and men’s water[serm]? (3) How a male and female child is born? (4) How is the sleep of a prophet? (5) What is the name of the angel who brings revelations to the prophet? Again Rasoolullaah (SAS) took their promise to accept Islaam and obey him, if he replied correctly. Then Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied to their questions, (1) “When Israel (Yaqoob(AS)) was ill, he promised Allaah, “If I recover from my illness, I will ignore my best desired food”, after his recovery he prohibited on himself the meat of camel. (2) The water[sperm] of men is white and thick while the water[sperm] of women is yellowish and thin. (3) In between them (the water[sperm]) whose water[sperm] of man which over comes the other then male child is born. (4) The eyes of the prophet sleeps while his heart awakes. (5) The name of the angel who brings the revelations is Jibra’el. They confirmed the answers to be correct but refused to accept Islaam, and said “IF any other angel would have been your friend then we would have accepted Islaam, (a lame excuse). It is also recorded that after hearing the name of Jibra’el, they said, “He brings miseries upon us, and hence he is our enemy. Had Micka’el, the angel for yield and rain, been with you, then we would have accepted you”. �� “Fa ma niftara alal’laahil’kaziba min ba’di zaalika fa’ulaika humuz’ zaalimoon”. [94]. 94. “And after that one who fabricates the lie on Allaah, then those are the unjust wrongdoers”.
19 �� “Qul sadaqal’laahu, fatta’bi’uu millata Ibraaheema haneefan, wa maa kaana minal’mushrikeen”. [95]. 95. “Say, “Allaah has said the truth, so follow the religion of Ibraaheem, the upright, and he was not from the polytheists”. �� “Inna awwala baitin wuzi’a linnaasi lallazee bibakkata mubaarakan wa hudan lil’aalameen”. [96]. 96. “Certainly the first house was established for the people at Bakka (Mecca), a blessed one and guidance for the worlds”. Quoting Abu Zirr, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein Abu Zirr asked Rasoolullaah (SAS) as to which Mosque was constructed first. He replied, the Masjid at Haram (at Mecca), He asked after that? He replied, “Masjid Baitul-Maqdis” Jerusalem. He asked the period between these two Mosques. Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “forty years”. For Abu Zirr’s next question, Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied “where ever you are establish “Salaat” at the prescribed time, the entire land is made Mosque for you to pray” the saying is available at Musnad Ahmad, Al-Bukhari and Muslim. � �� ”Feehi aayaatun baiyi’naatun muqaamu Ibraheeema, wa man daqalahu kaana aaminan, wa lillaahi alan’naasi hijjul’baiti manistataa’a ilaihi sabeelan, wa man kafara fa innal’laaha ganee’un a’nil’aalameen”. [97]. 97. “In it there are clear signs, the place where Ibraaheem stood, and one who enter in it, he is safe, and for Allaah, (it is obligatory) on the people to have pilgrimage to the House, who is capable for it with means, and one who rejected, then Allaah is abundant in relation to the worlds”. Quoting Musnad Ahmad, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein Rasoolullaah (SAS) addressed the people and said, “Allaah has made it obligatory upon you to have the pilgrimage of Hajj”. A person asked him, as to whether, is it to be performed every year? Rasoolullaah (SAS) kept silence. The person repeated his question, thrice. All the time Rasoolullaah (SAS) kept silence. Afterwards he said, “If I had said, “Yes”, it would have become compulsory, and it could have not been performed. Do not ask, questions after questions, previous people were destroyed due to their more questionings, follow my instructions up to your capacity, and refrain from that which I prohibited”. While Muslim has added in this saying, that Rasoolullaah (SAS) also said, “once in life time, and afterwards it is non-obligatory”. Quoting Ibn Abbas, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “when a boy performs pilgrimage of Hajj, it is obligatory for him to perform, the Hajj pilgrimage after becoming adult. Quoting Ibn Umar, Aal-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he was asked, as to what made obligatory for performing the Hajj? Rasoolullaah (SAS) replied, “One has provisions and conveyance”. Quoting Ibn Abbas, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein a woman approached Rasoolullaah (SA) and said that her father was too old to bear the difficulties of pilgrimage, and asked as to whether she can perform the Hajj in her father’s place? Rasoolullaah (SAS) permitted her and asked. “Had your father indebted, could you repay his debt or not”? She said, “Yes, I will pay it”. Then Rasoolullaah (SAS) said, “then perform the Hajj in your father’s place”.
