given to them, with His grace, that it is better for them, but it is bad for them, they will be neck
banded with that which they did with miserliness on the Doomsday, and for Allaah is the inheritance
of the skies and the earth, and Allaah is well informed about that which you do”.
Quoting Al- Bukhari, Ibn Kaseer has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he has
informed about the punishment to those who do not pay the Zakaat, (due to miserliness), He said,
“To whom Allaah had given the wealth, but he did not paid the Zakaat, so on the Doomsday, his
wealth will become a bald snake with two dots on its eyes and will surround his neck, while tearing
his mouth, it will go on shouting, “I am your wealth, I am your treasure”.
Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he said, “If a near relative
approached on to whom Allaah had given wealth, and he refused to pay, due to miserliness, then on
the Doomsday his wealth will become a snake of fire, and smack on his lips, finally it will surround
his neck, as neckband”.
Quoting Jabir bin Abdullaah, Muslim has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
has warned the Muslims, “Be careful of wrongdoings, as it is the darkness on the Day of Judgment,
and also be careful of miserliness, as it has destroyed those who were before you, they permitted
their bloodshed and made permissible that which was forbidden to them”.
Quoting Abu Huraira, Al-Qurtubi has recorded the saying of Rasoolullaah (SAS) wherein he
said, “The dust will never be collected on the road of Allaah, and the smoke of the Hell will never
accumulated in the nostrils of Muslim person forever, and the miserliness and the Faith can never
exist in the heart of a Muslim person forever”.
