continue to provide our support to the DAO in connection with
the management as founders of this project and creators of the
artwork we have thus far sold.
The Gecko art, the lore and the potential for the Geckos is abundant
and there are many talented individuals in this community who
are passionate about helping this project reach its potential with
a different vision than ours for things such as the rockets. While
we wanted to create a product that we thought was innovative
and would have been fun for the community to interact with in
the customizable rockets, we understand the community has
their own concerns with respect to this direction.
Therefore, the GGSG team is making the difficult decision to
hand over the further and future management of the project to
a DAO led by prominent and active members of the community,
as determined by the community through voting. Once the DAO
is properly set up and truly decentralized it may begin to receive
a portion of future royalties from such date in the future, which
shall be later determined, from Gecko transactions thereafter.
We as the founders will continue to run our discord and our twitter.
We know many of you were also looking forward to the rockets.
As such, we will showcase what we had been working on with
sponsors, the rocket components, the staking mechanism and
UI. However, we will not sell this artwork via a mint or give it out
for free via an airdrop; this showcase will be solely for the sake of
artistic appreciation.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our management
of the project thus far. Our intention from the start was always
to create and sell beautiful art collections with entertaining and
engaging lore – we hope that thus far you enjoyed our artwork
and lore as much as we did. This is merely the beginning of a
new chapter for a decentralized future for the management of
the Geckos and we hope you all will stick around to see what a
community managed project can develop into (Draper and I will
personally be holding on to all our geckos and will continue to be
a part of the community).
