used to visit him in Mtskheta quite often. Mikheil congratulated them the holidays by
his handmade greeting cards of dried flowers. On one hand, these are very sophisticated
works, while on the other hand the simplicity of content and texts should be remarked…
Written in perfect old Georgian in a very casual, simple way, his texts are so unassuming,
just as his gift cards, known for their simplicity. Almost each of the letters begin with the
words: “Happy New Year”.. And for me, there is nothing more holy.. And every touch with
these letters and cards fills me with emotions and energy...
And as for the future of the garden, I think that we should continue this unique stories,
human emotions and beautiful traditions by all means. We all should manage to keep
these special stories, full of brilliant emotions, with which the history of the garden will
head to the right direction...

During the Communist period, only excellent students were accepted here, while I was
not one of them. So I never used to go here. Once the palace decided to bring those
students from different schools, who had the vocal talent and were able to create a
cappella. The repertoire included the children’s opera by Bukia - “Uninvited Guests”
and its concert performance was up to this cappella to perform. This auditorium was
full of children, and I was among them too. Here was a small stage, where my debut
was made as a singer but it doesn’t actually matter now. Since then, you all know how
my life has gone on.So, my career life started from this lovely “miniacademy”.
I am an optimistic person and therefore I believe, that the job done by this palace is
smaller than the one that it has to do. There was a tendency of the building seizure,
but the whole society protected it. And will continue to do so, as this is a forge of great
people, our small Georgia is proud of. It was, and always will be like this.
