more than half of all products of
gEA westfalia separator is not more than
three years old. New developments in
machine and process engineering are
progressing with tremendous momentum.
Electronic measuring, control and regulating
technology for instance becomes outdated
on average every three years. And the
requirements applicable for employee
qualifications will become even more
stringent in the course of the next few years.
A four-stage qualification model and
training concept exists for this purpose. this
is because innovative technology also
requires personnel and service engineers
with training to current standards.
Achieving seminar
objectives with modern
training methods
In the customer training sessions which
normally last for two days, the participants
are expected to learn various aspects,
including getting to know and following the
safety-relevant aspects and the principles of
centrifugal separating technology of the
machines to the extent that these are
necessary for operation and maintenance.
these include physical principles, factors
with an impact on performance, clarification
and separation as well as dewatering. the
training also covers the structure and
function of the machines if they are
important for the practical activities, e.g. in
assembling the bowl. the participants are
expected to be familiar with the functional
procedures, e.g. starting and stopping the
machine, the monitoring facilities of the
machine or installation; they are also
expected to identify and, where possible,
remedy problems and should also be able to
run and monitor the machine without

supervision. the seminar contents are
provided in modular form and are tailored
to meet the requirements of the specific
installation or customer specifications.
trainings are provided exclusively by
specialists with trainer qualifications. the
latest training methods are used, with
videos, discussions, demonstrations and
self-managed checks of learning success.
Additional practical demonstrations and
exercises are carried out on the available
machines / assemblies. Each participant of
course receives a participation certificate for
his newly required know-how. Because
knowledge cannot be taken away from
anybody.
