Horns in the 1990s, which is where his career took off.<br />
"We had a lot of amazing success," he said about the<br />
band. "Probably one of the most amazing gigs I ever did<br />
was traveling around the country with the Heavy Metal<br />
Horns, and we played the famous Tipitina's in New<br />
Orleans on a Wednesday night."<br />
More than 250 people were in the crowd that night,<br />
and with how popular the band was, the next year,<br />
Douglas and the band were invited to the New Orleans<br />
Jazz and Heritage Festival. The Horns had the honor of<br />
opening for Dr. John in one of his first shows of 20 years.<br />
