Born David Adedeji Adeleke, but

is a Nigerian-American singer,
songwriter, and record producer.

as the modern form of African
Pop music (Afro-Pop), Davido has
perfected the art of blending
traditional African elements with
global mainstream pop to achieve
a unique sound.
Although he was born on
November 21 1992 in Atlanta,
Georgia, United States of America,
his family is a notable Nigerian
family that belongs to the upper
echelon of the Nigerian society.
The Adeleke family boasts of great
politicians and business moguls,
and Davido’s father is currently
the head of the family – and the
wealthiest.
Davido is a tier-1 celebrity in
every right and has remained
relevant since he broke into
the music industry. His worldrecognized
back-to-back hits have
earned him cult status, and he is
currently on the list of top 10 artistes
in Africa at the moment by
every standard.
