Kim Petras at the
Met Gala 2021
Kim Petras was not at the Met Gala
2021 to horse around – or was
she? Kim attended the awards
with Collina Strada designer Hillary
Taymour and Hillary Taymour.
The German pop superstar wore
a light blue Collina Strada gown
with a bright floral print and a giant
horse’s head jutting out from the top
of the gown – a horse’s head? Oh
yeah, a horse head.
Speaking on the outfit, Petras
revealed that she grew up riding
horses and wanted to represent “all
horse girls and horse humans here
today”.
Designer Hillary Taymour, who
walked the red carpet with Petras,
said: “We could be on the bestdressed
list, or the worst-dressed
list, but hopefully it’s one of those
moments people will reference.’

out as one of the boldest looks in
the 21st century.
The year 2021 would forever have
a marker on the global fashion
calendar. We saw the return of
red carpets and fashion shows – and
once more, we were blessed with
bright, colourful, bold, and glamorous
designs. It was as if designers and
fashion enthusiast were all waiting
for a moment to explode – we all
missed the glam and blood-pumping
moments that come with memorable
fashion moments.
Speaking on the return of fashion
shows and red carpet moments,
the global shopping platform Lyst’s
Content Lead, Morgane Le Caer,
said:
“After one too many months
spent indoors, 2021 saw the real-life
return of some of the biggest cultural
events, which brought together some
of the most influential celebrities—
and a whole lot of fashion.”

Week, the highly anticipated return
of the Met Gala, and Kanye West’s
Donda parties, it quickly became
clear the industry’s A-Listers were
going to take advantage of this return
to normality to make some of their
strongest fashion statements yet, and
it seems as though one viral fashion
moment came after the next.”
One thing we also noticed this
year is the rises of more power
players in the fashion industry, as we
witnessed some celebrities go the
extra mile in pulling weights in the
fashion game.
