Close to home, but not close to the ground
Hamilton Township High School graduate Bill Schneider enjoyed having a job close to home in Obetz,
but he didn’t spend much time close to the ground. Schneider is shown here in his bucket truck, that
reaches 65 feet high, tackling the removal of about 100 feet of cottonwood tree that loomed over two
houses. Schneider spent most of the day in the bucket selecting, tying off limbs, and cutting them in the
particular spot so his Able Tree Service crew could lower them to the ground. The cottonwood was the
second tree on the property to get removed from around a number of rooftops and power lines.
Schneider said he has been doing this kind of work for 10 years.
