We have so many exciting things to share with you in this edition of
The Shaggy Sheet and it’s all because of YOU and your support!
Throughout these pages, you will read heartwarming stories about animals
such as Ruby. Thanks to our Olivia’s Fund, she was able to get the special
veterinary care she so desperately needed to bring her back to health.
Adopted in February, Ruby is now completely spoiled and living her best life.
We were so excited that our 21st Annual Walk for the Animals was back
in-person this year and thanks to all our supporters – this year raised the most
funds in its history! All the funds raised will benefit the animals within our
care. Thank you for making this event a great success!
And not only did this year’s Walk break records – so did our adoption
numbers! On the back cover, you will see our 2021 Year in Review.
• 6,639 pets were adopted into loving homes – The best year in our
96-year history
• 12,911 animals were fed through Peggy’s Pantry which equated to
over 171,000 pounds of food
• 12,681 spay and neuter surgeries were preformed
Caring and compassionate friends like you made all this possible and so much
more. You are truly saving lives each and every day through your support of
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. And you are part of an ever-growing
number of people who are dedicating themselves to building a more humane
community here in Palm Beach County.
