Peggy Adams has many wonderful adoption
programs that include many benefits! Here are
a few of them…
A Dolly’s Dream adoption
is always a reason to celebrate!
Congratulations to Charcole for
finding his
forever family!
Through no fault of his own,
Charcole has been in and out of
the shelter since 2019. We most
recently welcomed him back
when his family unfortunately lost their home. When
his new family learned that this would be Charcole’s
4 th adoption, they said, "Well, it'll be his last!"
Dolly's Dream, funded by The Levitetz Family
Foundation, is a project that encourages the adoption
of our “Square Heads” (aka Pit Bull mixes or bully
breeds). This program helps counter the unfortunate
stereotypes and myths that some people still believe
about these dogs. Peggy Adams Animal Rescue
League finds homes and new families for hundreds of
these dogs each year.

PETS H for H HEROES
Our Pets for Heroes program honors
those who are currently serving or have
served in the United States military by giving
them an opportunity to adopt any dog or cat at
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League with a waived
adoption fee. This program is available to military
personnel currently active, retired, or inactive.
Save a Senior! Peggy Adams
encourages the adoption of
our senior pets through our
Grey Whisker Club adoption
program. Even with all of the
benefits seniors pets bring, we
see puppies and kittens get adopted very quickly while
others can wait weeks, even months to be adopted. But
when someone adopts a Grey Whisker Club animal,
they become their savior. And, they love you forever!
Senior pets make some of the best pets!
(Senior animals are: 10 years young for cats and small
dogs up to 39 lbs. and 7 years young for dogs over 40 lbs.)
Fospice Program
Provide a loving home to a sweet cat
or dog who would like to spend the
rest of their days in a comfortable
environment. The animals within
Peggy Adams’ Fospice program have
a significant medical condition that the medical team
has determined would be best cared for in a loving
home. That way the pet can enjoy the remainder of
their life in comfort and dignity.
Peggy’s Pick
Much like an adult child, sometimes
certain dogs and cats make themselves
way too comfortable at Peggy Adams.
For the pets in this program, it’s time
for them to leave the nest and start their new lives.
Peggy Adams offers various incentives for the animals
within this program.
