Temple Emmanuel is a small,<br />

community in Wakefield,<br />

Massachusetts. We offer a contemporary<br />

Tammy Syrigos Irrera is offering<br />

two yoga programs at the<br />

library this summer. Weekly<br />

Yoga with Tammy Syrigos<br />

Irrera will be held on Thursdays<br />

at 12 p.m. on Zoom.<br />

The class is a 60-minute yoga<br />

flow that will match breath<br />

with movement to bring peace<br />

of mind while simultaneously<br />

building core strength and stability.<br />

Irrera is also offering Virtual<br />

Chair Yoga on Wednesday, June<br />

29 at 1 p.m., also on Zoom.<br />

The class will be 45 minutes.<br />

Participants are advised to be<br />

sure to have a chair with all of<br />

the legs touching the ground as<br />

well as light hand weights (2-5<br />

lbs.). This class will be done<br />

partially in the chair and part<br />

standing up showing how the<br />

chair can be used as a prop to<br />

assist with the yoga poses. We<br />

will incorporate breath work,<br />

matching breath with movement<br />

to help achieve mindfulness.<br />

Diana DeLeo joins A Healthy<br />

A Healthy Lynnfield, an active<br />

community partnership<br />

working hard to prevent substance<br />

misuse and to ensure<br />

those impacted have the help<br />

they need, has hired Lynnfield<br />

resident Diana DeLeo as its<br />

new community outreach and<br />

engagement coordinator.<br />

“Diana comes to us with incredible<br />

experience from the<br />

Boys & Girls Club of Greater<br />

Salem, where she served as the<br />

director of development,” said<br />

A Healthy Lynnfield Substance<br />

Use Prevention Coordinator<br />

Peg Sallade. “Diana will be<br />

instrumental in mobilizing and<br />

engaging community organizations,<br />

residents, and youth<br />

to work together to implement<br />

multiple evidence-based<br />

and environmental strategies<br />

to promote the mission of A<br />

Healthy Lynnfield.”<br />

In her new role, DeLeo will<br />

provide key support to the<br />

town and A Healthy Lynnfield<br />

Coalition in the areas of substance<br />

use and mental health.<br />

She will develop, coordinate,<br />

and implement best practices<br />

In addition to her time at the<br />

Boys & Girls Club of Greater<br />

Salem, DeLeo worked at the<br />

American Cancer Society for<br />

thirteen years in multiple leadership<br />

roles, including senior<br />

director of community events.<br />
