Belle Empire boutique
has opened at 43 Mount
Ephraim Road in Tunbridge
Wells. Serving as both a shop
selling beautiful and unique
clothing and accessories for
women alongside a space
where they can enjoy exciting
events and workshops.
Belle Empire was founded by
Laura Jane Foley, a Personal
Stylist and Women’s Coach.
Laura Jane has been selling
one off vintage pieces
privately for over 10 years as well as
working closely with women to help them
to explore and express their own original
sense of style.
“The whole ethos behind Belle Empire
is encouraging women to embrace and
enjoy being women. My main aim is to
build up their confidence to wear the
clothes that they really want to wear, not
the clothes that they think they should
be wearing to stay on trend or to fit in,”
Laura Jane told us. “I want every woman
to celebrate her uniqueness and come
in to Belle Empire to enjoy playing and
experimenting with fashion.”
Alongside vintage pieces, the boutique
sells a collection of new clothing like the
silk slip dresses that they will be able to
wear and style differently throughout the
seasons. The shop also offers a selection
of couture-worthy handmade bags and
hats from local female designers. “I love
to collaborate with and showcase other
women’s work,” Laura Jane says, “this
space is all about coming together and
celebrating each other.”
From September the boutique will be
hosting events involving talks from a
variety of designers, transformational
workshops as well as monthly Women’s
Full Moon Glamour Ritual Circles.
Laura believes that it is wonderful for
women to embrace personal glamour for
their mental wellbeing, “It empowers us
with confidence and readies us to deal
with a lot more than if we are not feeling
the best version of ourselves. When we
can truly express who we are and enjoy
the ceremony of getting dressed every
day, it seeps in to many aspects of our
lives and gives us so much more joy than
we sometimes realise. We need to learn to
enjoy getting dressed up for ourselves as
often as possible, don’t save your favourite
clothes for best, let them see life and go
on an adventure with your clothes!”
The boutique is open every day apart
from Sunday and Monday. On Tuesdays
you can book to have a private shopping/
styling and experimental experience
for yourself or a group of friends which
includes prosecco as well as the cost being
redeemable against any purchases. For
