• Plain City Churches
Plain City area churches are making
plans for the annual Christmas Basket project.
In 2021, baskets and gifts were distributed
to 125 families which included over 750
individuals, approximately 500 of whom
were children.
The Plain City Church Fellowship, which
sponsors the project, is asking for names, addresses
and phone numbers of families or individuals
in the Jonathan Alder School
District who might need assistance over the
holidays. Names of families or individuals in
need can be turned in by calling Plain City
Presbyterian Church at (614) 873-5011 or
Dave McCray at (614) 408-1617 as soon as
possible. All information is kept confidential.
The fellowship is not accepting food donations
this year and will not hold a volunteer
packing day. Anyone interested in
helping with this project can donate money.
Mail checks to: “Christmas Basket Fund,”
Plain City Presbyterian Church, 231 E.
Main St., Plain City, OH 43064.
Another way to participate is to “adopt” a
family for which to buy Christmas presents.
Families may be adopted through local
churches or by calling the Presbyterian
Church or McCray. Guidelines are provided
for purchasing gifts for appropriate age levels.
Anyone who adopts a family is asked to
deliver the gifts between Dec. 10 and Dec. 17.
For details, call Jim Kaufman, co-chairman,
