We seek an enthusiastic, innovative, highly motivated, organised and<br />

culturally responsive registered counsellor to work alongside our learners,<br />

staff and the wider community.<br />

Your core role is to offer counselling services to learners, staff, families<br />

and whānau as required. Our counselling team will work collaboratively<br />

to ensure school-wide Hauora (wellbeing) and care systems evolve,<br />

so we continue to meet the needs of our school community. Working<br />

collaboratively with the staff, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and<br />

inclusive climate in the college, free of intolerance, harassment and bullying.<br />

This role is a part-time, permanent, term-time only position<br />

(approximately 20 hours per week *Hours and days negotiable for the<br />

Reporting to our Admin Supervisor, there<br />

are two permanent full-time (37.5 hours<br />

per week) and one part-time (20 hours<br />

per week) position. Depending on the<br />

role, your hours of work will be 8.00 am<br />

to 4.00 pm, carried out each week of the<br />

school term, Monday to Friday. In addition<br />

to your core term time hours, the role will<br />

require you to work ten additional days<br />

(approx two days, each term break) to<br />

help with back-to-school, end-of-the-year,<br />

post and preterm preparations. Non-term<br />

hours may require some flexibility but can<br />

be negotiated in advance, depending on<br />

school commitments.<br />
