Respecting Boundaries
Help us protect our families’ privacy.
If a family member chooses to disclose a part of
their experience to you, do not share this
information with others unless there is a safety
concern. In this case, please report the information
to our Program Director (see page 70).
All information obtained from or concerning
families is privileged communication. It’s natural to
want to discuss your volunteering experience with
your family and friends, but never share names or
other details that might identify a family member.
Their right to confidentiality and privacy must be
respected at all times.
