Halifax & St. John’s
4 nights Halifax, 3 nights St. John’s Newfoundland
Located on Canada’s East Coast, Newfoundland & Labrador and
Nova Scotia boast Canada’s most spectacular and pristine coastline.
Here you’ll find lush vistas and uncrowded beaches, breathtaking
scenery and a vibrant and welcoming culture that will ensure you
feel like a local in no time. Atlantic Canada is closer to Europe than
any other part of North America, and getting here is easy. In just
under five hours direct from Dublin, an enchanting seacoast holiday
awaits.
Halifax, Nova Scotia 4 nights
For a city with more pubs and clubs per capita than almost any city
in Canada, it’s fitting that their most famous brewmaster was also
their mayor three times. Alexander Keith’s original 1820
brewery welcomes visitors with costumed guides, stories and, of
course, good ale.
Considered one of the greatest marine disasters in recorded history,
the story of the Titanic begins in Southampton on April 10, 1912,
when the vessel left on her maiden voyage. For some of those who
lost their lives aboard the ill-fated ship, Halifax is where the story
ended. You can visit Fairview Lawn Cemetery and see the
gravestones most of which are plain granite blocks. In some cases
families erected more elaborate gravestones and you can also see
the Celtic cross and the monument to the ‘Unknown Child’.
St. John’s Newfoundland 3 nights
Newfoundland is located on the eastern edge of North America. The
capital city St. John’s, where the locals speak with Irish accents,
shares the same latitude as Paris and Seattle. . And now with the
new direct service from Dublin it is just over four and a half hours
away.
With the North Atlantic Ocean at their doorstep, Newfoundland is
home to Iceberg Alley, one of the best places in the world to view
icebergs. Just off the coast, the meeting of the cool Labrador
Current and the warm Gulf Stream creates an abundance of marine
life that attracts thousands of whales, and provides rich nesting
grounds for millions of seabirds. Hotel: Delta St.Johns or similar
