World Charolais Congress

The 2022 World Charolais Congress
was held in the United Kingdom
from 7 to 18 July covering all four
countries of the UK. This was the first
Congress since 2018 in Sweden, as
Covid 19 cancelled the 2020 one. There
were about 100 registered guests from
12 countries, plus local breeders, beef
producers and customers of the farms
we visited. There was a great mix of
people and a chance to visit with many
not on the full tour. For many of us, we
got to visit with breeders from the UK
that we met on previous Congresses
and some we hadn’t seen since the last
Congress held in the UK in 2012.
A welcome reception and supper
were held the evening of 7 July at the
Hilton Heathrow Hotel a short train
ride and walk from the arrival airport.
It was great to get caught up with
everyone registered on the Congress
and get some rest for a busy 10 days
ahead.
