on the lumen side, and after sandblasting
the preparations, it was possible to seat the
crowns fully adhesively using a rubber dam
to ensure a completely dry environment.
The Clearfil SE Bond adhesive system was
used with heated CLEARFIL-AP-X universal
composite in shade A2 (both from Kuraray
Noritake, Tokyo, Japan). Following the
removal of excess material and light curing,
verification of the occlusion showed that
the overlays had been fitted with absolute
precision and no corrective milling was
required.
MORE THAN VIABLE ALTERNATIVE TO
LITHIUM DISILICATE
The zirconia reinforced lithium silicate
allowed the dental treatment team to
follow an efficient and streamlined
workflow. Integration of the overlays
with the remaining natural dentition
was completely seamless. The patient
was completely satisfied with the fast
and aesthetic restoration that did not
require any protracted adjustments or
corrective milling. With its superior
material properties in terms of function and
aesthetics, VITA SUPRINITY PC is a very
viable alternative to lithium disilicate in the
digital workflow. DA
