SHOW PREVIEW Edentulism 2023: Glimpse into the speakers’ presentations In the Canary Islands, Spain, on 4-6 May 2023, world-leading dentists treating edentulous patients will disseminate their knowledge on treatment options during the conference, Edentulism2023. This conference will provide networking opportunities, spur research innovation, and bring old and new friends together. Being the first of its kind, the ZAGA Centers podcast series invited four of the upcoming speakers to discuss the presentations they prepared for this conference. Dr Ana Ferro, Dr Fadi Yassmin, Dr Costa Nicolopoulos and Dr Petros Yuvanoglu share their insights into the need for research on complications, the utility of having digital workflows as approaches to dentistry, and the usefulness of “smart concepts” that allow patients to achieve aesthetic and functional goals. The surgeons interviewed on the ZAGA Centers podcast, which can be found on Spotify and Apple Podcast, unanimously agreed they would attend Edentulism2023 even if they had not been asked to share their experience. Because each dentist has a different viewpoint and role, there are differing preferences and protocols. However, the shared dedication to improving treatment options and clinical outcomes has led to the gradual harmonisation of knowledge in overcoming the challenges in dentistry — such as the issue of reducing long-term complications. The ZAGA network and conferences such as Edentulism2023 are therefore crucial for disseminating scientific knowledge on rehabilitating edentulous patients. Dr Ana Ferro, practicing in Portugal, stated her focus in refining her method in treating edentulous patients. Given that many patients that are edentulous have unsuccessfully tried and tested other solutions, they said that it is important to educate patients — and that’s where the ZAGA concept really helped them a lot. In their presentation, they will discuss 10 guidelines on how to predictably and reproducibly be successful in full arch treatment. Implant Solutions World Summit: The latest innovations and science transforming implant dentistry Registration is now open for Dentsply Sirona’s Implant Solutions World Summit 2023, taking place in Athens, Greece, from 8-10 Jun 2023.
