About <strong>Transocean</strong> Ltd.<br />

We are the world’s largest offshore drilling contractor <strong>and</strong> leading provider of drilling management services worldwide. With a fleet of 138<br />

mobile offshore drilling units <strong>and</strong> one ultra-deepwater newbuild drillship <strong>and</strong> three high-specification jackups under construction, our fleet<br />

is considered one of the most modern <strong>and</strong> versatile in the world due to its emphasis on technically dem<strong>and</strong>ing sectors of the offshore drilling<br />

business. We have approximately 18,000 personnel worldwide.<br />

Since launching the offshore industry’s first jackup drilling rig in 1954, we have achieved a long history of “firsts.” These innovations include the<br />

first dynamically positioned drillship, the first rig to drill year-round in the North Sea, the first semisubmersible rig for Sub-Arctic, year-round<br />
