Nationals 2023 is approaching fast and everyone is
working on last minute preparations for their
Conditing, and selecting their entries. I want to wish
everybody good luck. With that being said I really
love seeing all my friends that I only see once or
twice a year. It is so much fun to look at other
exhibitors rabbits and compare what you need to
work on such as coat texture, density, type etc. one
judge might prefer one type and another prefers a
different type, the first to tenth place rabbits can go
in other parts of the country and receive a Bis or ris.
I never let a judge decide which rabbits I might keep
for breeding as I had a doe that I never got a leg on,
her coat was a little rough but she threw me more
grand champions than a doe I had that had 33 legs.
It’s all about which 2 rabbits that you pair together to
complement each others faults.
I have done extremely good with my rabbits this
spring and it’s always nice to win but my competitors
have awesome rabbits and I am blessed each time
my rabbits win. That can always change when one
person raises that one awesome rabbit that’s a
ringer. Always tell the winner or winner’s
congratulations because when it’s your turn to win
you sure want to know that someone recognizes
your hard work.
Good luck my friends in the shows to come and I will
see you down the road.
