Rangers from afar since
1980, first watching the
team in person with a
1-0 win over Chelsea at
Stamford Bridge (the ideal
start! – Ed) and making his
W12 debut a year later.
He has kept the ticket from
that first home game – a
1-0 win over Grimsby Town,

penalty – and last year
decided to write a book
about his experiences of
following the R’s over four
decades.

Torsten said: “I had a
season ticket in the South
Africa Road stand for some
years about 10 years ago
and always travelled from
Germany to watch until I
couldn’t afford it any longer.
“I guess I spent a high
five-figure amount on all my
QPR travels!”
